.just a clam redish..

I'm not sure how that would look with clams in it. You might be able to pull it off if you have a little fishnet thing in your hair.

ND to Prague is a real grind. It's Bismarck to (I think) Minneapolis, them Minn. to New York. Then from NY to Amsterdam, then the final plane to Prague.

Anyway I'll take a break from here for an hour or two. It's just on dusk here and my wife suffers from what's calling "sundowning". Need to spend time with her until she's ready to sleep.

Info about Sundowning from alz.org. She doesn't have Alzheimer's but her disease causes similar dementia problems and the sundowning effects are the same. It doesn't literally start at sundown, but often it's close to it.

So, I'll be back later.

Hello Everyone!

JustMike, I am happy to hear that you and your wife have company visiting. That must be quite a treat!

CC, for the hair color, I liked the first pic I think. I'd have to go back and look again.

I like the silver/grey dress, though either of those dresses with long sleeves in August would kill me. I can't
tolerate the heat. LOL

To the newbie, I'm glad you're a nice guy!

Tiamat, love the nature photos!

Skid, I'm like you again with the blahs, pain and tired.

I'll be poking around the threads and checking in here.

Didn't mean to leave anyone out, but I had too much catching up to do.

Hello there! I considered being out all night. It'd be fun.

Okay, back again. Thank you Night & Q for the comments. Much appreciated.

I sat with her for a while and we watched a hockey match on TV. (Czechs versus Latvia at the World Championships.) She likes hockey, so she was able to stay focused on it for a few moments at a time. She's sleeping now.

Hi JustMike, how is the weather in Prauge this time of year. Are you in a spring condition?

Very much spring conditions. Today was gorgeous. Mid 20s Celsius and clear skies. Perfect spring weather. Cherry blossoms hit their peak a week ago. Tomorrow's the Prague Marathon, so we're hoping the weather will hold good. Biggest athletic event of the year in Prague. Lots of the "elite runners" will be there.

Hoping to take my wife out so she can enjoy the atmosphere. Besides the marathon, there'll also be a music festival and a biiig party. It just depends on how she is. But if she's not up to going out we can watch it on TV.

PS: just call me Mike.

Yes, that's Staromestske Namesti = Old Town Square.

The church with the twin steeples is the Church of Our Lady before Týn. (Pronounced like "Teen".) They started building it in the 14th century, on the site of an older (Romanesque) church. Tycho Brahe is buried there.

The road on the left (between the buildings, with all the greenery) leads down to the river. The small laneway on the lower right leads back towards Wenceslas Square.

Your town is beautiful. Was Tycho Brahe famous for planetary observations? If history class was right he died in Prauge in the 1600's?

Yes, he was an astronomer and something of a pioneer in his observations and what he wrote about them. He died in Prague in 1601.

Johannes Kepler was his assistant. Kepler went on to develop the Laws of Planetary Motion.

Anyway, there endeth the lesson! I need to get some sleep. Have a great rest of the day!
