Yeah it's a nice quiet spot. Nobody knows I'm there. A beach would be nice if it wasn't crowded and noisy.

I have about 20 miles of un-occupied beach and dunes

just over the road ... excepting holiday times.

I am blessed in this day and age to have such clear clean - pristine nature at my doorstep ... 😎

That must be wonderful, except for the occasional jellyfish and blue ringed octopus. It would be a nice place to go fishing.

I used to grab a six pack and head about 10km down the beach in my 4x4 trying to catch mulloway or anything really lol.

That all stopped when I realised that the local fisho's had stopped netting salmon.
which meant the great whites now eat breed and hangout ... right there....

I used to wade out chest deep to cast out past the sets ...

Indeed, I live in quite a nice city, by standards here - lots of trees and flowers.

And the place where I actually live is nice too - lots of trees and a small lake.

Especially when you have a cut.

Beaches and lakes are beautiful, especially the ocean. At least around here, seeing a shark is pretty rare at the beach where we swim.

Walked one to two miles down a road and there's a field with cows and geese. Saw a goose and swan fighting once in the water. Love the spot. Beautiful view.

Yeah, it is nice - I will take a pic from the window when I get home.

But I still prefer being up the mountain in France - stats about population there:

So how bad are the storms up your way? Thunder has been really bad this afternoon and lights have flickered a couple times.

They weren't too to bad up this way. Just poured the rain like cats and dogs but other than that we had no other problems. Our power didn't even flicker this time around.

I did see on here earlier that you guys were postings the Muppets or something.
