Skid, that's unusual and interesting, but I like my stuff better. I got in the habit of going to youtube for mood music. I usually pic out fantasy mood music and there are so many things to choose from.

3) Close out that piece of the code with a right square bracket: ]

4) Then enter some text to describe the linked material.

And that's it. All done!

By the way, Kanga is not a super moderator. She's a regular mod like me.

And just a note: don't copy and paste the "uгl" code I have used in my instructions. It won't work, because the "г" is not really an "r". It's the Russian character "Ge". I used it so the coding would look normal, but not actually function.

I run windows 10, but I've set it up on my desktop so it's like windows XP. I used a little piece of freeware called Classic Shell (direct link to their website) that lets me set up things how I like them. So I have my classic XP start menu and so on.

Classic Shell can be used in Win 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 operating systems. 32 or 64 bit. One download covers all of them.

It still has all the Win 10 functionality available but I just find it easier to navigate with an XP-style desktop.

And yes, it is free. No nagware, either. If it had anything like that I would never recommend it. It was suggested to me by another staff member who knows way more about IT than I do.

Yes, there is a lot. IF you allow it. But when I did my clean install of win 10, I said "NO" to virtually everything it wanted to me allow by default. So, it cannot collect browsing data, monitor my keyboard, use my microphone, update automatically without even telling me, etc etc. All of those things are disabled. And I will not use Cortana. Never. So, Cortana is also completely disabled.

Any time you install a new OS, you must make sure you read everything and don't just let it do a default install. But with win 10, even if you run a default install, you can still shut off all those "helpful" (for microsoft!) features at any time. As people find out what their win 10 system is doing without their knowledge, more and more are shutting off those spyware features.
