The video above was published on January 27, 2016. How in the world could the gentleman speaking have known the following back then?

"Succinctly put, the Donald Trump presidency, the campaign, is a joke."

"It wasn't Donald Trump running for president, it was 'Donald J. Trump', the character he plays on TV because that's actually what he does, you know. Donald Trump is an entertainer. He's actually a very sweet, very shy fella. But, when he gets on TV he plays a character named Donald J. Trump and this guy is huge, you know. He's bigger, and anything, and he's always right. And he's firing people...and that's him, that's the character he plays."

Today I ran across this story:

Trump team tells GOP he has been 'projecting an image'

Donald Trump's chief lieutenants told skeptical Republican leaders Thursday the GOP front-runner has been "projecting an image" so far in the 2016 primary season and "the part that he's been playing is now evolving"

...

"When he's out on the stage, when he's talking about the kinds of things he's talking about on the stump, he's projecting an image that's for that purpose," Manafort said in a private briefing.

"You'll start to see more depth of the person, the real person. You'll see a real different way," he said.

The Associated Press obtained a recording of the closed-door exchange.

"He gets it," Manafort said of Trump's need to moderate his personality. "The part that he's been playing is evolving into the part that now you've been expecting, but he wasn't ready for, because he had first to complete the first phase. The negatives will come down. The image is going to change."

Some people will say that they knew it all along. I've read a few posters on this site who've been posting that Trump was faking it from the beginning. I just think the video above is worth noting.

Isn't this what every candidate does?

They all pander. They all project an image - any image that the electorate wants to see and that'll get them voted in.

Trump was smarter than the rest and actually hit on an image that people connect with while the others are trying - unsuccessfully - to hold to traditional, outdated and ineffective images.

He added a monkey to the old dog and pony show and the masses loved it.

And it's pissed off the other players.

Have you seen a candidate (or someone speaking officially for a candidate) admit that explicitly before? If you have, please post evidence because I believe what Trump is doing here is unique.

Getting back to the video, the gentleman in the video ("diggerad") states the following at about 8:30:

"You know, once he gets in, maybe the real Donald Trump will come out...This is a very sweet, very sensitive guy."

He didn't define what "gets in" means IMHO. Could "gets in" refer to winning the Republican party's nomination? If so, diggerad may have literally predicted the future exactly if we see Trump become a sweet, sensitive guy or even if he simply "projects an image" of something substantially more "presidential"...

You're trying to say that every politician "projects an image", can you find even one example of another politician admitting it explicitly?

I don't believe you can. For that reason, the video in the original post is noteworthy IMHO.
