This an interesting twist.

One saw an apparent friendship between Cruz and Rubio dissolve during this campaign....

Many possible levels to this statement. Is Rubio following a change in Establishment thinking? Personal bias against Cruz? An honest solidarity attempt to defeat Hillary? All of the above? LOL NONE of the above?

Curiouser and curiouser....

Thoughts?

Senator Marco Rubio is just demonstrating that he has integrity, by doing exactly what he promised to do in that nationally televised debate. The fact that he will want to be treated well by the Trump administration might have something to do with his Trump endorsement, as well.

A President Trump will be kinder to his friends, and meaner to his enemies, than any of the 43 prior U.S. Presidents.

They all signed the pledge to stand behind and support the republican nominee regardless of who it was.

They didn't sign a paper asking if you would support the nominee "IF or "UNLESS". Those with integrity will stick by their word even if it has gotten ugly between them at various points. Every election I have been alive for has had nastiness in it. It's par for the course.

Cruz has said already that he will not back him, but if he gets the nomination Cruz will fall in line just as he's told to by the RNC.

I predict that before the end, we will also see Bernie endorse Clinton. It's the way the game is played.

God I hope Trump can get to 1,237 delegates. After he's President, Donald can replace the Gang of Old Perverts (GOP) with "The People's Party". Has a nice ring to it!

Mystery Solved: Trump on cabinet: I'd love to have Rubio involved

But remember. Trump is an outsider. Keep saying it enough and people will believe it.

Wow, that would be interesting, wouldn't it?

I guess after losing FL, people were saying he was pretty done in politics, so I guess having friends in high places don't hurt.

I have a slight variation to your post. It is GOP---RIP if you 'don't back Trump...

Ummm...don't all communist/socialist styles of governance have..."The Peoples Party"...?

Might want to call it something else...like..."Citizens United"...Oops...the Koch Bros...have that one all sewn up...

Maybe it should be the..."America First Party"...?

None of the above.

Every candidate is an Establishment candidate -- and each one is just doing their part to manipulate this election for The Chosen One. The Establishment thinking hasn't changed. All is going exactly according to plan.

The chances that voters will 'beat' the Establishment in November 2016 are 0%.

Trump already said he would use some insiders on his team to pave his agenda. He said you only need one like him "Trump". Not a big secret. That is why we like Trump, just tells you truth even when it might not make you happy.

Oh, how I wish I was wrong. I wished I was wrong in 2012, 2008, 2004, and 2000, too. But I wasn't.

I don't know. If you look at the original articled linked to as the source of the article in the OP:
www.washingtonpost.com... ory.html

What Rubio actually said:

As for backing him if he becomes the Republican nominee, Rubio says “I’ve always said I’m going to support the Republican nominee and that’s especially true now that it’s apparent that Hillary Clinton” is going to win the Democratic nomination. Says Rubio: “Hillary Clinton would be a disaster for America.”

I don't see that Rubio specifically says that he would back Trump. What he says is that he will backup whoever is the nominee. He may have plans for who the nominee is that don't involve Trump. If he is actually saying that if Trump wins that he would back him, then that's a good sign, but a reversal from his previous statements.

I don't trust him.

Remember - a while back Rubio told the states where he gained delegates to keep his delegates for him. He never gave up his delegates.

I would bet that he is still hoping for a nomination.

Neither do I, per say. Some laud Rubio as the statement proves his integrity. I suppose that isn't impossible. I saw it more as a pragmatic move on his part. If, in fact, an integrity point, then it wasn't hard for him to do as it is very pragmatic, as well.

A no-brainer...
