If you can explain that to me then I'm sold. That's one of two other strange things I haven't come up with anything for. It's not a staircase and its not an elevator shaft. The 'spire' that was left standing had a diagonal edge to it which neatly fits that sort of pattern too.

Why wont the authorities release the names of those who took out the PUT Options? duh....

Clearly you have never bothered to look into that aspect or you would have found your answer.
