They buy the most porn per capita online?
Kinda make sense because they can't purchase porn in a store in Utah.

You should see the town of wendover Nevada. The town is on the Nevada, Utah state line and there are nothing but Utah license plates in the casino parking lots.

Yeah the state where polygamy is part of the religion wants to tell people what to get off on?
Some of the worst people in the world are running the republican party.

I'm torn because I sincerely feel the world would be a better place without it, but I don't want the gov't to have authority to ban it mostly due to the slippery slope of defining pornography

I am convinced porn is basically the main reason for the rise of the VCR, broadband internet, video software and mobile devices, lol

Honestly, so can I but it's still a horrid thing to imagine, especially with the many faces of Hillary Clinton.
And wouldn't banning the porn industry just force it underground and make it worse? I mean right now there are regulations on the industry to protect the "models" and by forcing it underground would effectively remove those protections. I know sex trafficking is also a problem and is closely associated with the industry but banning it altogether won't help and would probably help grow the sex trafficking industry.
And lastly this is a huge part of the economy that continues to grow, even in economic depressions. What effects would banning it really have on the economy?

It doesn't really ban anything.

Utah has one of the highest per capita ownership of guns.

Utah has a high rate of porn use.

Utah wants to make porn a "public health issue."

Obama wants to take guns away from people who have "mental health concerns."

Hey Utah, you see where this could go???

All research suggests that the freely available internet does indeed affect the pre puberty development and young peoples sexuality. It makes peoples idea of sexual intercourse and being comfortable with ones own body not to mention other peoples bodies rather warped. (Not my words - they are from research).

On the other hand so does exposure to religion. I reacon that the next thing will be to desuade religious indoctrination in young people.

And some commercials will be banned as well.
And we need to burn some books.

As I understand things in the US Utah is a bible bashing state is that right?

Odd that watching people engaging in normal and not quite normal human sexual activities which is faked or which is real, is a health hazard, but water, air and ground pollutants and GMO is does not seem to a health hazard.

Funny that, but then what else could we expect from people blinded and polluted by religion who have been trained up to measure human morality in terms of sex and its related matters as the sole measure of human morality.

Is it possible that "Mormonism" is hazardous to your health? Avoiding alcohol, tobacco,
and coffee are offset by other harmful practices?

I do know that they robbed a friend blind when they found out he was a Non Mormon religious person.
My mother in law was sexually harassed by a Mormon employer.
My uncle was threatened for proselytizing another faith in Utah.

Does porn harm Mormons? Probably.

When I grew up porn was rare and hard to get. Children were safe, though.

I have been told by a few co-workers that Mormon girls are the freakiest.

I think suppression is what's hazardous.

Obviously porn 'can' be a health hazard as addiction to porn has risen with the advent of the internet, but it isn't Government's job to keep us safe or at least it shouldn't be. I certainly don't want them involved in my auto-erotic activities.

Can you imagine Hilary's face popping up during the money shots screaming at you?

I cast the first vote for the best/worst post reply ever!

This is a key difference from Libertarians,"conservatives", and neo-liberals.

The "conservatives" and neo-liberals want the state to control you. Libertarians don't.
