I get you, the numbers of times I wish i'd slam my phone to the ground just to shut it up...

I know some people (very rare these days) that gets around only by emails... It's hard when you own a business, I just hope someday to eliminate Whatsapp and all other distractions. I keep my phone very limited with distractions, and don't get any alerts but personal messages and calls, but I still keep it mute during the whole day, or vibrating if i'm expecting something...

it's not the best solution, but it's kinda working!

I keep it on vibration and the only notifications are, as you, personal messages and calls. As you I also plan on abandoning technology(its distractions). I'll have internet just for ATS essentially, television without cable and a phone for emergencies and family. Otherwise books and family activities. It'd be amazing to slam the phone down. Not worth the cost though.
