Coming across twitter now with no details as of yet. Anyone in the region have any other info on this?

It is the latest Arab country to recall its envoy from Tehran since Saudi Arabia cut ties with the Islamic Republic after angry demonstrators protesting Riyadh's execution of a prominent Shi'ite Muslim cleric attacked its missions in Tehran and Mashhad.

That is mildly concerning... I like to consider Jordan one of the few sane heads in an insane area.

Hopefully its just a simple, let them know we are not happy about xyz, and not much else.

If anyone knows anything about a Middle Eastern country and their dealings , it is the Jordanians. Curious about the pulling of the ambassador for a debriefing though. especially at a time where the Iranians have basically thumbed their noses at the rest of the world for the new treaty. And declared that they will ignore it.
Good information.

www.al-monitor.com...# could it be related to this? if things really are warming between Isralis and saudis and other gulf states this could pose an interesting problem for iran and mostlikely get every one in the state department all in a tizzy at the same time

Talks between Saudi Arabia and Egypt on the transfer of these islands have been going on for years, with Israel firmly opposing the move. The fact that the transfer has now earned Israeli support reflects the depth of the shared interests between the three sides: Cairo, Riyadh and Jerusalem — although the Egyptians and Saudis prefer the label “Tel Aviv.” This is a real geostrategic and diplomatic drama. Former Shin Bet chief Knesset member Avi Dichter of the Likud Party said on April 12 in an interview with the Israeli Kol Yisrael radio station that this step is one of the most important, dramatic diplomatic occurrences that have taken place between two Arab countries in the Middle East. Israeli Defense Minister Moshe (Bogie) Ya’alon, in a small pre-Passover celebratory toast with military reporters, updated and confirmed that Israel had, indeed, agreed to the course of action and had even received a written document, signed by all sides. The document confirmed Israel’s continued freedom of navigation in the Strait of Tiran, in which the two strategic islands are situated; the Strait of Tiran led to the important Israeli port city of Eilat. In addition, Ya’alon noted that the Americans had been partnered to the negotiations and are also signatories on the agreement. Thus, Ya’alon said, Israel had received all the requisite guarantees. so if they oked the transfer after fighting it for years does this tie into the Jordanian ambassador being recalled?

Was Iran against the transfer? If we are talking about the upcoming bridge the concern Israel had revolved around access. A treaty was signed that guaranteed Israel water access. Given the shift in relations in the region and Saudi Arabia and Israel having a common threat from Iran....

Iran and its action may very well be the catalyst for peace in the ME. When your actions bring Israel and other Arab countries together well...
