So, let me get this straight. The poor jewish boy from Brooklyn somehow shot on over to the Vatican right after his debate to talk about how bad it is for the poor? Oh Bernie, how much of that campaign money was used for this one? All of those people who sent in 2 dollars...or 5 bucks...or what you can....sent you to Rome? I mean, how is that helping the fact there are over 750 shootings in Chicago so far this year?

www.wired.com...

“The issue of wealth and income inequality is the great economic issue of our time, the great political issue of our time, and the great moral issue of our time,” he said. “It is an issue that we must confront in my nation and across the world.”

This is the guy who wants to stick it to the man. This is the one who only has one suit. This is the one who want to live like the rest of you....please.

He took this trip to soon.

I love the idea of going to the Vatican City with its extreme wealth greed and selfishness to talk about distributing money from those not nEarly as wealthy as they are

What a sad situation what hypocrisy
If the Vatican gave away half their wealth it could change the world for the poor

Just imagine how well we could feed ourselves if we or anyone else wasn't burdened with the taxes to support socialism.

I believe there is an obvious link between poverty and shootings. If wealth was distributed more evenly, less people would use violence to make money and more would have something to live for and not risk violence/injury or jail.

But Sanders statement makes me hope he'll become president. Not that we should punish the rich but to somehow make changes to the system. If it doesn't work for all, it's not good. If everyone on the planet were all multi millionaires, who is going to make robots for all the work that's not going to be done?

Amazing how you turn this into an attack! Simply amazing. No one needs to explain to you why Bernie visited the Vatican because you already know. All you wanted to do was create a hit piece and of course all the conservatives that infest this site will praise your well thought hit piece.

Shockingly, this is the best you can do to attack Sanders.

Btw, are you a Trump supporter because I love how he spends a lot of his campaign money on his own business but let's demonize Bernie for flying out to the Vatican. A trip any of the candidates would have made if they were invited.

Agreed on the poverty and way of life
However:

give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime

Steal all the fish, control a man for a lifetime is more where we actually are. There is no teaching, someone else bought up all the fish.

The great environmentalist chartered his own 767 for a single day of pandering.

A day after Bernie Sanders claimed he ‘introduced the most comprehensive climate change legislation’ and said he would tax carbon use, the Democratic presidential candidate chartered a Delta 767 to fly him to Rome and back for less than 24 hours.

After attacking rival Hillary Clinton for her stance on fossil fuels stepped on Thursday, Sanders stepped off the plane on Friday in Rome for the Vatican conference with his wife, ten family members, a group of campaign staff, Secret Service detail and members of the press.

The total group of what is believed to be below 50, flew in a chartered Delta 767 for their trip, which can seat between 211 and 261 people, depending on the model. It is unclear if Sanders’ aircraft had flatbed seats.

A 767 aircraft carries up to 23,980 gallons of fuel, which is ‘enough to fill 1,200 minivans’, according to Boeing.

Typical DC insider hypocrisy.

So now Bernie is bad because he takes a trip to the Vatican huh??? You're getting desperate.

He's a fan of this current pope because the pope has been talking about income inequality and helping the poor too. More so than any previous pope.

They have a similar message in that respect. So what's the big deal.

I'm sure the supporters who've sent him 2 bucks or whatever trust his decision about what to do with it.

It's not your money so what do you care. Or are going to complain about that too now???

Just imagine how well we could feed ourselves if we tax payers wasn't burdened with taxes so we can give subsidies to companies that make billions in profit and pay zero in taxes.

Teach a man to fish and as long as he is properly licenced he is free to fish In a variety of polluted waters. Generally speaking most of the waters in the USA have limits to how much you can or should consume.

Man can't live on 1 lbs of toxic fish per week.

He was invited to speak. That is NOT pandering.

Donald Trump owns his own plane, so I assume Trump does an awful lot more flying, using of fuel, etc.

Trump doesn't say climate change is the greatest threat to mankind like Bernie.
Just another hypocrite like Al Gore who wants to make everyone poor to save the planet.
What a tool Bernie is.
