Had to edit the title to be T&C friendly. Might not be quite what you're expecting. I searched and didn't find a thread on America. Helluva band. You know them.

And on that note:

Ah yes...

I love taking trips down memory lane every now and then. America was a great band that had a ton of fantastic songs under their belt.

Here's one of my favs:

Awesome...saw them live 2 years ago along the Detroit Riverfront on a hot summer night. They've been one of my favorites forever. Soooo good....and songs are outstanding.

Ventura Highway. Dont cross the river and a dozen others!!!!!

That is one hell of a good band. You put all my favorites from them there. Somebody else put on Lonely People, which I also like. Thank you!

Agree on both counts.

I was sorry when Dan Peek left the band; I think he really contributed in a way that was part of the core of the original group.

I saw America in (years were fuzzy then) ........ 1978? They were tight, and the harmonies -- which I think of as the signature of the band -- were perfect.

As a guitarist, I love their music, but a single person without at least one vocal backup and another guitar can't begin to really capture their essence.

Thanks for the thread, 'Trep
