Dear Reader,

This thread was created in the language of the ancient hyperbolic right wing peoples. Fortunately, I studied this very language in college and can offer my translation services. The thread title in English actually reads "Mel Bundy questioned by authorities for role in armed takeover of property not belonging to them, sent home after two hours". You're welcome.

I have to say that I agree with the Bundys right to exploit land that's not theirs for personal monetary gain and I support their right to peacefully protest while openly carrying assault weapons. Gandhi did the same thing. We all remember that famous photo of him walking the line with his favorite Ar15. Gandhi was the original peaceful protestor... with a huge gun in case he needed to shoot at someone.

So this is clearly unreasonable treatment for American citizens in their own country, if this is true Americans should have a good look at this because any one of you could be next on the list

Very very true. I would like to think that people would look at this and care simply because it's wrong and inhumane and no one deserves this treatment... and no one deserves this "power." But if they can't do the right thing for the right reason, then they should at least realize they can and will be next.

It's been this way ever since our founding. Nothing new, and it will continue to happen as long as we elect a--holes. Oppression is a requisite to economic exploitation.

I agree there have always and will always be abuses of power by government... but there have also always been people fighting those abuses of power, and fighting for the rights and safety and dignities of the people and there always will be. And there have always and will always be those who do nothing -- neither for themselves nor others.

We all decide which on side we are going to be.

You definitely given them far more credit than I do. While there are many conscientious and dedicated employees who are just trying to do a good job, there are others -- most in Washington -- that are only serving their own best interests, and pretending to work in the public's interests. It's all a show.

Mostly because they don't manage it really. Remeber its ran from congress. They are the ones actually in charge of this land. And due to their in action not a lot happens beyond basic stuff.

Congress is definitely part and parcel of the problem! Their inaction and mismanagement is deliberate. Their goals and motivations are not the public's best interests!

However even the states couldn't afford these basic services without selling off large parcels of land or charging fees.

Neither state nor feds can. And too many want to sell that land to the wrong people for the wrong reasons. All the more reason we should be looking at major reforms, and Homesteading the land to the people who can and will take care of it... and it will benefit the people.

Good example of that is Las Vegas they screamed at the federal government that wanted to expand services around Vegas. Turns out it was just a scam to fleece tax payers. They were granted there request then ended up selling it to a developer after claiming they couldn't afford to keep it. Big time developer can't in paid pennies on the dollar I'm sure with brides to local officials. Then built golf courses and as it turned out there water usage caused a severe problem causing the city to have to renevate its water system costing millions and led to rationing.

Another good example of why we cannot trust the government to be good stewards of our land (at least so much land); we should take out the middle men, and give the land to the people (at least the greater part). We can still have national parks and wildlife preserves; but a far larger percentage of the land should belong to the people -- not government, not corporations, and not foreigners.

I don't even know what to make of that... much less what to say to all of it. I'll just let your words stand on their own merit. (I just wanted to reply since you addressed me).

Yet again, ill say it in this thread as well. Im ready tomorrow if need be to put on comfortable shoes and take up arms with the group that should have formed in about Jan 2002 once Sept really started to not make sense. It should be about 15-20 million people in number by now but better late than never. But im ready as ever to walk state to state then finally to Washington doing what so many countries have done in weeks or even days to regain control or independence. Post temporary men and women in place of federal law enforcement overseeing state, let political and non violent non sexual non minor (-18) victim related criminals out who are serving offensive sentences (ex just read about the man who served two years for raping his second woman, then after release he commented how crazy that his cell mate was a colored man caught smoking a joint of marijuana already serving long before his arrival and supposed to stay years still from now). Eventually round up the corrupt then march em to Pennsylvania ave andget exec and leg branches to start taking and selling out the ones with the deepest hands in the citizens cookie jar in return for pardon, first to talk first to walk. Ill volunteer to be regent or we can just say king, HM Me, to hold emergency dictatorial power til were stable on an economy of federal money that means something, immediately trashing our current system of private company issued fun coupons worth less as far as standard goes than pizza place ski ball tickets...those supported by the spider ring, bouncy ball, and plush animal standard...fun coupons for a century we have been dumb enough to work work work like busy bees for.

Finally, we can decide if youd like to reinstate the good old' us government (of theory not practice) or keep me for life with inherited rights to my children or my clones we can discuss in five years when what will have become hell (but the most peaceful way we will ever see it and avoid world war) is finally in reconstruction mode. Some may think im crazy for thinking its so bleak but sorry I truly believe esp with NSA LOSING ITS MIND that oh yea we have definitely reached a point that serious

This is why I had/have such an issue with Gitmo.

Many others shrugged off the torture since they "weren't Americans", but the first time I read about what was really happening there, it instantly took me back to the words of Pastor Martin Niemöller...

"First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me."

Torture is never acceptable. Beat someone long enough, and they'll tell you they painted the Mona Lisa. This is not a reliable way to gather intelligence, nor is it an acceptable way to "negotiate" a plea bargain.

First they came for the blacks, but you stood aside because you are not black.

Then they came for the muslims, but you stood aside because you are not a muslim.

That's right.

The problem is that people only get mad about stuff like this when it's happening to someone they like or agree with. But when it's anyone else they don't identify with the attitude is, "who cares" or "F*ck em".

NOBODY should be treated like this. But you can't just complain about it when it's someone you like. When you accept this kind of treatment of others because they are Black, or Gay, or Muslim, or Atheist, or (name your personal enemy) then you're also compliant when it's done to someone who you also support.

You either refuse to accept this kind of behavior from the Gov. and Law enforcement equally for everyone or you accept their abuse of anyone.

That's a great point, and true. I hate to admit it, but I've been guilty of this many times. If I can't identify with something or somebody, I move on and don't give it another thought.

We have to collectively change as a nation.

Boo-hoo. The seditious traitor is being treated poorly in jail. Boo-hoo!
It's funny how tough these guys acted while they were committing their crimes. Now that they've been arrested, they become so delicate. I hear the worst torture is the lack of French vanilla creamer. lol! Don't do the crime if you can't do the time moron.
Why aren't these terrorists in Gitmo?

You probably never learned that modern colleges teach in the language of ultra liberal leftist viewpoints, and so that is why your mental translator saw it the way you translated earlier. Colleges today do this in a veritable cult like fashion to make unquestioning cookie cutter puppets for the corporate workforce..

Federal lands belong to everyone, not just some corrupt land management bureau who in fact never could actually "manage" lands, which is why any lands currently being taken over for federal management quickly turn into a ruined unmanaged land.

You really got ripped off when you paid for that education of yours..

No way...so you're saying when I was studying metabolics I was actually studying the teachings of Karl Marx? My God this is alarming!

I guess the insulin pathway lied to me. I'm sad. Well...I gotta head on over to the lab to make evil GMOs, which is what I actually do. I hope you enjoy your dinner tonight. I added some extra mutations in corn and wheat genomes just for you. It'll really mess you up man! Still, you gotta eat right?

Exactly. They belong to everyone...for one armed group of communist thugs to take and repurpose for their little hippy commune. It's public use except you have to be aware of people carrying assault weapons kinda like how they put up signs to watch for snakes. Beware of snakes, no 4wd vehicles allowed, pets on leashes only, and you may encounter country folk carrying unnecessarily large weaponry. What a joy for the everyday American who loves to hike and camp. Random country folk with large weaponry is how we keep these places from falling apart. If we let the feds manage the place then the land might go ungrazed by people trying to make money for themselves and you can't have that.

I know for certain the feds can't manage land. You know I was in Rocky Mountain National Park just the other day and let me tell you, it's a mess in there. There's way too many waterfalls, not nearly enough garbage lying around, the animals roam peacefully, and there isn't even a bunch of gun toting thugs to protect the place so they can graze it and make it super awesomely barren. Those Park Rangers are really making things crappy. I honestly saw a Ranger help these people carry some of their packs back to their Prius. You know that vehicle doesn't even get less than 10mpg like my Chevy K10? What a disgrace. It was all so awful.

I think your parents got ripped off when you were born. You can't undo stuff like that.

I think you don't understand at all what is really going on here. Pardon my age but at least I know what the Revolutionary War was about. It's a fact that the Progressives on the Left use skewed revisionist history such as the communist Howard Zinn writes to keep younger people from understanding this stuff, why that war was fought and what was the reason for the second amendment. That very amendment was written for such times as now when government would again be the tyranny of a monarchial King with a lust for power and control over the people. I posted about NDAA and how our own govt sees the people as the enemy combatants. They released the real enemy combatants and instead imprisoned the Patriots. This is how they view the Tea Party.

Are you kidding? The Bundys are ranchers. You need to go back in history and learn about the communes in the 60's. The communists are in power in government right now. Many of them from the hippie generation.
The land in question is not in the National Parks. I live near one and you are more likely to encounter bison on the road than an armed rancher defending his own land. Like I said to another guy, time to understand what the Revolutionary War was about without Howard Zinn's revisionism. There's a real commie for ya. And Bernie Sanders is also the real deal as commies go.

You still don't understand this deal. The BLM came to take the Bundy Ranch. This is for the communist Agenda 21. Yes it was the BLM agents who are the communists and the Bundys are a hold out. They want the land for Agenda 21. A similar deal went with the Oregon standoff and who here even knows about that? It involves Uranium and gold deposits. farmwars.info...

I don't know where you are coming from Im sorry to say. Suffice it to say the UN is the new Commie on the block and green is the new red. And to be sure, most publicly owned land you cannot set foot on. That is the dictates of the UN Communitarianism. That is the Wildlands Project. Please get a clue.

I guess I could come visit you if I ever take a flight to Crazy Town, USA. Population you.
