So hilarys plan is to increase the amount of taxes that come out of a working mans paycheck. So instead of only seeing 55% of our hard earned money we get to see 45% of it. Yeah thats gunna work out great. Tell that to the lower class people that work like indentured slaves their whole lives, paycheck to paycheck, with no savings, no safety net, no opportunity to take a hard won vacation, or move out of their tiny apartments, who already won't be getting any social security or pension and are literally expected to never stop working or work till they die like they are in some concentration camp.

And then what when they can't pay or can only survive by putting a 9 down on their W2's. Put them in jail. Give them stupid monthly payments on top of their already monthly payments with an interest rate like their student loans that will make it so they are forever in dept and actually pay off more than they owed. Talk about a scam.

Love how as a country we criminalize the hard working poor.

Why doesn't she do something for American born workers and leverage tariffs on imports and exports like she should.

It won't work. If we do this, what's going to happen is companies are going to set up satellite offices around the country in low cost of living areas. They'll pay people less money, which goes further in that area, but still takes jobs out of where the corporation is based. It's the same thing illegals and seasonal workers do in the US already where they take very low paying jobs but leverage the difference in cost of living to make great lives for themselves and once we go down this route, it's not even constitutional to start putting tariff's on interstate commerce to make things fair.

Did you know that there are areas in the US where 40 hours/week at minimum wage puts you above the median income? There are other areas where median rents for a 1 bedroom are nearly $4000 per month. The dollar does not hold equal value around the country but a healthy economy requires everyone to be in a similar economic zone.

I'm sure they let their visitors come that conclusion all on their own. They're job is to provide the data, not a solution. You're right, instead of wasting money and lives in just the Middle East alone why not invest it in America?

Because those that we elect don't represent us, they represent the elite who don't care about you or me... or the the civilians in the Middle East.

Kind of makes you wanna try it alone for awhile, doesn't it? Just dissolve the whole damn government and see what We the People can do for a change.

Oh I think the majority of us are already there! Take money out of poltitics, set term limits, and boot the majority out of DC for sheer incompetence! Then let the criminal investigations begin!

Oh what a world that would be!

INDEED.

I think that bears repeating with roof-top screaming emphases.

I wonder what the year was when all hope of any truly democratic-republic representation was truly lost. 150 years ago? 200? From the beginning? George Washington insisted that the 'club' was already in operation on our shores. He was evidently a member of it.

If I didn't believe firmly and emphatically in Yehovah, the God of the Bible, I wouldn't think there was a shred of hope for any good outcome left in the nation, on the planet, in the multi-verse.

Redistribution for arbitrary things is grossly unfair.

Why is it that when it affects the rich it's truly "unfair", but when unfair things happen to the poor it's "Life isn't fair, get over it" or "work harder"?

Don't worry I truly hate Hillary, just wanted to ask that question.

Remember most of this extra tax burden will fall on the super rich.

Not you and me. The super rich. The people who have been enjoying tax cut after tax cut over the last 30 years.

Sorry but thats BS. The super rich only constitute 1 percent of the population. You could tax them at 99 percent of their income and its only a drop of water in the ocean. ANYONE who wants to pay off the debt and fix infrastructure is going to have to tax the majority of Americans. Which is a problem since people like Hillary have been instrumental in outsourcing our jobs to India and China, and now we find ourselves with a service economy with low wage jobs. So she may tax a few rich people, but the middle class will bear the lions share of the tax burden, and pay it with depressed wages.

I think your point needs to be emphasized.

I have no great affections for folks who use their extreme wealth and power to the hurt of the average citizen.

However, there's a lot of upper middle class folks who have worked hard to build companies that deliver a lot of good to average Americans. They are hard pressed on every hand to continue to do a good job and make a reasonable profit.

The average citizen that's brain dead and mind numbed--effectively lobotomized by all the outrageous oligarchy propaganda hears some catch phrase about 'tax the rich more' and wants to march in the streets cheering to this wonderful "solution."

And the super rich oligarchy folks . . . of which the gritchy one is a prime stooge . . . and all the senior politicos are likely in the service of--the oligarchy folks laugh at the stupidity of the masses and how easily they have been manipulated so long . . . by such cheap, shallow, meaningless catch-phrases.

1% of the population, 80% of the wealth. The bottom 50% could pay taxes for a century and not total what the top 1% pays in taxes in a year.

they tend to hate freedom.

Cannot differentiate a dictatorship from a free capitalistic society?

And very little of that promised money ever makes it to the poor. I call their scam social structualism as it describes it to perfection. True leftism treats EVERYBODY as equals not some as more equal than others and determines who does what according to ability and pays everbody equally. Some interviduals do very nicely out of these socialist scams and people doing nicely including bankers is not true left wing socialism. The only real way to take america back financially is to get rid of the privately run banking system and replace it with a government owned non profit but independent banking institution to replace the reserve banking system.

The only people to see this tax money will be the big businesses for example google who pay big bucks in lobby money to get contracts when she wins. Many google executives are tech advisors to obama how biased/corrupt is that!!!

Yes, but wealth isn't taxed, income is. I am not against a tax that makes people pay their fair share. I think we should institute a transaction tax on Wall street transactions, and also tax infrastructure usage by trucks and aircraft. My worry is that the revenue wont be enough to do what needs to be done so they will start taxing people making 8 dollars an hour who are already barely making it working two jobs.

For now, but wealth reflects income.
