Ummm if your from Colorado your vote literally doesn't count.

That's in other states as well.

Delegates choose who they want look at these states that the candidate get more votes but less candidates.

The Colorado Republican party did that. I don't think it was new.

Super delegates choose who they want. Political parties decide who gets the rest based on pre established rules. You don't like the rules, don't join the party.

We tried socialism during the early days of America's first settlers, it did not go to well. I do not want to go back to a time where people start dying in the streets for the good of the State.

Please explain.

He's a loonie socialist.

I guess it's all a matter of perspective. On the Dem side, one hand we have (in your words) a loonie socialist. On the other hand we have a psychopathic liar who barks like a dog. It all depends on your definition of loon.

Primary Polling

www.realclearpolitics.com...

New York...Connecticut....Pennsylvania....he is approaching or is over 50%. Over 60% in a new NY poll. The final big state will be California which shows both candidates on a rise but other than that the field is open.

Head to Head

He is even in a PA FOXNews Poll...he is there when everyone said it would never happen. There may be others that show him killed but this is showing a turn in opinion. The one showing they are tied is some just last week.

www.realclearpolitics.com...

Why will the GOP not unite and simply crush the DNC? (this is of course rhetorical....)

He still has as chance to get the delegates. It will be interesting now that the establishment has shown their cards. He pointed out the corruption. People will stand behind that. I also like how Rand said it is not rigged but biased...a nice way to say the fix is in....remember it was his dad who made the GOP change their ways.

www.realclearpolitics.com...

"I hear someone has been saying they are rigged," the Kentucky senator said. "I don't think they are rigged, but they are biased. And intentionally so... Rigged would mean it was illegal and somehow shady. It is done primarily in the open, and they are biased in favor of the establishment." "Fox example in 2012 when my dad was running," he continued. [The party made] a special rule that said you couldn't win unless you had eight states. And then they didn't count his votes. But it is interesting now if you talk to all the Republican establishment, they are saying oh yeah, your votes can be counted." "This is a big deal. Kasich's votes can not be counted, under rule 40b they should not be counted, and if it was Ron Paul, they were not counted in 2012." "You can see the clips. They say Iowa votes 28 votes for Ron Paul, and the podium says 'Iowa votes 28 votes for Mitt Romney, they repeated that the votes didn't go to them. This year they want the opposite. So is that a fair interpretation of the rules, and when you think about it, both Cruz and Trump have a great deal of incentive not to let anyone else [be nominated]. That's what the rules say."

God help us if Trump gets the nomination. I am not sure who else I would choose, Kasich seems reasonable.

What's the difference our vote doesn't count anyway.

From were I sit.

Democrats are offering:
A rich corrupt dishonest bitch.
Or a
A loony lefty.

Republicans
A rich corrupt dishonnest bastard
Or
A religious nut job.

Wow america out of 300 million people you cant find just ONE decent candidate?

Bernie Sanders is not a 'Loonie Lefty'. I recommend you watching the speech, from where I live from yesterday.
Then come back and tell me how loonie' he is.

He seems a honest man, probably the most honest out of DC.

But his economics and spending would never work on something as big, lumbersome, inefficient and corrupt as the US fedral government.

Norway, Denmark ect work cause they are small, homogenous low populated countrys.

Bernies plans might be good on a state level but on a fedral level they would fly apart in a shower of debt and corruption.

The greatest enemy of the USA is its own government right now. The last thing you need is to make it bigger and give it more power.

I am getting pretty tired of people saying that. It makes people stay home and not vote.

If you are not voting in protest of something, fine. But just saying 'because our vote doesn't count' is just stupid.

Participate or move to a foreign country where they have elections just for show and to avoid UN sanctions. Then you can say that. Theorize all you want, but just sitting around and typing is really weak.

Exactly. People who say that should go move to North Korea or the Congo and find out what it is REALLY like when your vote doesn't matter.

You will find out how much it wont matter when neither Trump, Bernie, Cruz or anyone not picked by the banks and MIC get in.

Your destined for Clinton II.

The entire election is just show and games.

Sorry I don't believe this load of bull#. If Clinton is elected, it is because that is who people voted for. I know ATS doesn't like to believe this, but Hillary DOES have a lot of supporters.

Like I just said, people pretending like their vote doesn't matter have no clue what living in a country where that is really true is like.

Wrong I'm afraid. The parties have stated that the primary is entirely their own option, so in fact the primary vote doesn't count I'm afraid

completely agree, I wouldn't trust our government to run a lemonade stand at this point. I don't know what a better option is anymore.

A few months ago, everyone was certain that Bush III was the choice of "the Powers that Be" ... doesn't that seem laughable now?

Funny how that happens.

When this started we were told it was Jeb Bush. It kind of seems like we wait and see who is in the lead and then declare that person to be the chosen one. And while Clinton crushes Trump or Cruz in the national election she still has not locked up the nomination. Sanders also crushes Trump and Cruz. Frankly anybody with a pulse could beat Trump or Cruz at this point.

As a non American I don't understand the point of all this debate about primaries. From what I have seen, and forgive me if I don't understand, but what does it matter who does well or who does badly in the primaries, right?

For quote a few years, wen primaries were held, the people were voting for the candidates that the establishment wanted.

Since The Cray Tycoon and Comrade Sanders have entered the scene, it's exposed this simple fact.

The party picks the candidate.
Most times we actually ARE voting for the parties choice so it never came up.

This has actually been going on for a while.

I'd like to reiterate that your vote does has and won't count under the current system.

The don't vote for that parties candidates if you don't like their rules bs doesn't fly with me.

You know how the system works and what happens when you vote for a third party and most of the delegates are republican and democrat, they stand no chance.

On the federal level, I would agree. The local level?

It still matters.
