With all that is happening behind the scene, with politicians beginning to play the delegate count. Donald is going to have to learn to play and win at dirty politics. With Cruz gathering up more delegates than Trump. I see a political change coming in July. At the Republican Convention Cruz will have enough delegates on the second ballot to beat Trump. Donald may have the popular vote going into the convention. The powers to be do not want Trump to be the nominee. They would rather have a insider politician that they can control. Dirty politics are in motion now and IMO Donald has already lost. He can complain all he wants but he cannot beat the machine at this point in time. Popular vote does not count here in America since politicians have figured out how to beat the voice of the American people.

Trump has no chance of getting to 1237 - I don't think he ever did.
He will however have about 300 delegates more than Cruz going into the convention. The big problem is that many of his delegates are 'sleeper agents' for whoever the GOP want them to vote for. They awaken on ballot 2, so in reality Trump may only have 200 or so delegates by the time round 2 comes around.

That said, I don't think it's Cruz who will benefit. Looks like Paul Ryan will be running.

Lol insider politician they can control? Trump himself has said people in Washington don't like Cruz.

Cruz has alone caused more issues in Washington by standing by his principles and not backing down than anyone else , leading filibusters and even being accused of shutting down the gov

I swear you trump supporters try to play both sides of the fence.....

Trump w his buying of politicians and trying to influence policy with his money is a hell of a lot more of an insider than Cruz He's had presidents at his weddings for gods sake

What the hell is wrong with Trump supporters

It's a reflex action when they see the word Trump. They can't help it.

I like how the narrative has changed that Cruz is suddenly an establishment candidate just because he is the alternative left to Trump.

Sanders- sheep in wolf's clothing
Clinton - at least we know her evil beforehand
Trump - is Trump all can be said
Cruz- there is some form of evil there. I cant figure it out , but every time I see him on TV my hackles stand up.Like the dog that bows up and goes all defensive for what appears to be no reason at all.And the "stop the freedom from religion and go back to the freedom for religion" . Exactly how far does he plan on taking that ? The manipulation of the election . With Obama we elected someone just because we could. This guy seems to be "bulling" his way to the Presidency with the aid of the entire RNC despite the public.
I may be wrong (and I hope time proves me wrong) but.....

Prime example. Again post history matters.

You went on for hours yesterday against "introvert" fawning and making excuses over trump

So I stand by my statement and it doesn't make my post any less accurate

The facts about Trump and Cruz stand

And if you want o talk about knee jerk reactions. Anytime Cruz is mentioned trump and his supporters automatically jump to accusations

So can we please stop w the hypocrisy

Erm, this is a different thread.
What do you think about what the OP has said? Get back to that instead of waging forum wars across threads.
Seriously , give it a rest.

Whatever.

On the Paul Ryan point I made.
He is meeting with donors today and a new video has been released on his Twitter..

Just wonder if he will actually enter the race before the convention...this could be the insider that the GOP wants to elect.
Cruz and Trump should be worried.

Must be said, he continues to say he is not running and will make a statement to say he won't today, but the news stories keep coming.

I do not agree with some of your statement. I do not believe that Rand would be a player there. However, If Rubio, and Kasich got behind Cruz then with those combined numbers Trump would not have the numbers needed to get the nomination.

Trump just not know the rules of his own party. So he whines about it. Be that as it may, he is not an outsider of any kind. I would rather someone that can keep themselves under control and that is not Trump.

IMO Trump supporters are simply tired of career politicians. They want a fresh face in there. Trump has tuned into that and that is why he has so many supporters.

Actually, Ryan has scheduled a press conference to say he won't be running or accept the nomination. All this Trump/Cruz argument and what ATS members support who is moot. Your next POTUS will be HRC. She's been chosen groomed by the establishment, and we're just waiting for the coronation. Even Laura Bush (Dubya's wife) wants Hillary, proving the two party system is a two-headed snake.

Finally: Paul Ryan to rule out presidential run at RNC press conference this afternoon

Laura Bush hints she'd rather see Hillary as president
