We met in 6th grade. Judy an myself became the bestest of friends. We shared the same thoughts and have many wild dreams. Judy and I were
the two best looking people in our class. Other students wanted to always hang out with us, on weekends or after school. Myself and Judy loved to run.
We joined the 6th grade track team.
Judy was the fastest runner, like a lightning bolt. Having not the speed of Judy, my track coach Mrs. Sim wanted me to try the long jump. I tried to
fly thru the air in the air to hit the 6 foot mark but landed on the five foot mark. Next coach Sim had me try hurtles. As I fell down and lost my
shoe Mrs Sim did not know what to do.
Pole Vault. What I said. She told me to grab a Pole Vault stick. Then she tried to explain the basics. There I went running down the cement with a big
pole meant to be bent inside a metal slide. I would have to fly 7 feet high to make it over the horizontal stick. Not my day. I flipped the other way.
I tried and tried and cried and cried. Finally I cleared 7 feet and went on to break a 9 foot record.
Judy broke every time record for the 100 yard dash the quarter mile and a 4 lap hard run or a mile.
We ended up wining the Oakland County Track meet. Our school was the best for 4 years.
Judy and I went to high school. For sure we ran track. I broke the record for pole vaulting in 9th grade. 12feet 2 inches. Judy broke every running
dash record our school held.
This went on for 4 years. Judy and I remained the bestest of friends. Judy is a boy by the way. I had to change names because this is a true story.
12th grade flew by. School was not over. I went away to college and moved to Califorina. Judys parents were rich. Judy was spoiled rotten. Judy went
on to open strip clubs in Detroit along 8 Mile Road.
Judy and I went our own ways. 8 years after not talking to each other I flew home to Detroit. I went to my long time old Restaurant. Sitting at the
bar for one hour I was about to leave. Judy walked in with her brother. Like a day never went by we were best friends again. Talking all night about
our crazy life. Time to say see you later.
Later that week I flew back to Califorina. Two weeks later Judy called me. Telling me the strip clubs were shut down and Judy was sad.
I told Judy it will be ok. You will find another business to run. Judy was sad. We hung up and never ever talked again.
I never knew this. Judys father died and left Judy 3 million. 8 more years went by, Judy and I never spoke. I learned today that 3 years ago Judy
tirned into a gambler and hung out at the Greek Town Casino in Detroit. Judy went broke. Spent 3 million gambling over 8 years.
Judy went to the top of the parking garage and jumped 60 feet. 3 years ago. 😥
To my best friend ever AZ you RIP my friend.
