Has anyone notice that much has beem written or said about alien evidence prior to the year 2000.

If you are asking if there have been this much attention paid to the UFO / alien issue prior to the year 2000, then the answer is a resounding yes.

However, I think with the increase in wired households and greater access to the internet, boards like ATS have really taken off in the past half-decade, creating a brand new medium for the real-time dissemination of information -- people now can report a sighting on NUFORC as it's happening, and then post the pictures here immediately afterwards...

And since everyone and their freaking iguana now owns at least one digital camera, the cycle time from seeing something, taking a picture, reporting the sighting and sharing your picture with the world has been reduced to approx. 3 minutes. Fanf%@kingtastic, if you ask me..
