The Boston Globe plans to publish presumed stories of the outcome of a Donald Trump presidency Sunday Mar 10 2016

Boston Globe

Donald J. Trump’s vision for the future of our nation is as deeply disturbing as it is profoundly un-American. It is easy to find historical antecedents. The rise of demagogic strongmen is an all too common phenomenon on our small planet. And what marks each of those dark episodes is a failure to fathom where a leader’s vision leads, to carry rhetoric to its logical conclusion. The satirical front page of this section attempts to do just that, to envision what America looks like with Trump in the White House.

As you can guess they are all inflammatory against Trump

For a partial look at the front page go
Here

They all seem to be the Boston Globe's assessment of what would happen in the world if Trump were elected. They may indeed present some disclaimers but the point will get across as they wish. This is yellow journalism at it's finest.

Have to say this continous blatant manipulation by the media of our elections are wearing me out. The idiots don't even care anymore...it is just 'in your face' with the understanding that many Americans and foreign gov's will buy in and repeat it.

Some little controversy to move more papers on a slow day.

It's ridiculous. If Trump is so terrible, the MSM shouldn't even have to feel so threatened that the VOTERS will pick him.

Starting to get a slight inkling that the media may be trying to manipulate the election.

There's nothing to indicate that the American voters will choose Trump in November, however he runs.

Every opinion indicator shows considerable dislike for Mr. Trump on almost a 2-to-1 margin.

Of course, zealots always believe that everyone agrees with them ... LOL.

It will be a three or four way race in November, with either one or two Independents.

And the House will decide ... Paul Ryan may actually still have a chance at POTUS, after all, LOL.

Many people will actually think that "story" is true and happening.

Just like they think "real" news is true.

This will give Trump another 100,000 votes !!!

This is satire with obvious bias. In true satire style, they should do the same with all of the leading candidates! It would be fun to see Clinton addresses the nation from behind bars again! Cruz' Evangelical war is ongoing! Sanders Stalemate has found him sleeping.

So much for being a news source.
How about news sources actually report candidates viewpoints and policies in whole. Explain those stances without bias. Let the people smart enough to care read and make an informed decision.
This type of rhetoric is acceptable on the OP Ed pages and should always contain opposite viewpoints there. The MSM weighing in things like this is what got us at least our last three presidents in place when there were better qualified people on both sides of the aisle. So we the people only get to choose from the candidate that they give the coverages to. Hopefully the online revolution will turn the tables someday, why do you all think the Fed government wants to control the Internet in US so badly.

The great old icons of newsprint media know their days are numbered...as they watch their medium evaporate into the mists of history and their circulation diminish by exponentiation.

Partisan mediocrity has become their last refuge...all pretense of impartiality and vaunted serious journalism is going...going...gone now.

The Boston Globe?...a sad old joke on life-support...waiting to have the plug pulled.

LOL ... well, it's been effective in one way at least ... it's pissed off ATS Trump supporters.

The Globe deserves something for that, at least.

Two problems.

First, that would involve peeling back the layers of BS in politician's speeches and press releases. An epic task.

Second, how long would any of the candidates last if their policies were analysed in detail? Even in the UK, where parties are expected to deliver on their election platforms, you could drive a herd of cows through the holes in them.

Having said that, the side bar about the markets and Chinese T Bonds is the real deal. If the Chinese lose confidence in the US economy, all they need to do is start selling and you're in deep doo-doo.

Perhaps. Who are they going to "sell to"?

The Russians? The Indians? Random pacific islanders?

LOL.

I would bet that China understands the intricacies of world market behavior a bit more than some posting here, you and I included.

Don't really think Trump supporters ever expected any accolades for Trump in the Boston Globe in the first place...so I doubt they're "pissed off" by the Globe's partisan and sophomoric temper tantrum.

If the once highly esteemed and respected Boston Globe now considers lamely imitating The Onion being "effective"...then that only illustrates how far the publication has fallen.

Whats the national count on "Trump supporters" currently again?

30%? or so ... AT BEST?

40% of 23% or so (about 9%) on the low side (Republicans supporting Trump.)

Yeah, don't think that's going to cut much mustard in November.
