What pyramids are in the congo? I am unfamiliar with any stable civilization existing in the congo.

china, india, south america, egypt, paru, mexico, most if not all have prymids, so.............. where are the prymids in the united states,

They are mississippian mound builders and also mound builders in the north east of the United States. Not stony pryamids proper, but rather close.

has anyone in the us ever found egyption or myan hryogliphics,

Not that I am aware of. Most of the amerindians didn't have much to speak of for a writting system, tho the iroquis had an interesting way of tacking things out in bead work. There are anamolous remains in the north east of the US and Canada tho along with supposed 'phonecian' markings. No mayan, aztec, or egpytian stuff. i suspect that the general publics understanding of the state of amerindian culture in that region is lacking somewhat.

Actually, it isn't.

It's a pastiche, and I think that the text is based on the very badly translated Book of the Dead that was done by Wallace Budge. All my reference books are in the car (I haven't unpacked... was at a scifi convention where I gave a talk on Ancient Egypt and hieroglyphics) but...

The drawing at the top is very wrong. That's probably supposed to be Isis, but the hair style is WAY wrong. The poses appear to be the work of a modern artist who may have used Egyptian references, but this is not a copy of a panel of classical period Egyptian art (and it's certainly not any art associated with the Naqada (the pre-dynastic people in Egypt.)) Offerings and food were finely drawn and often larger in proportion than they would have been. They are not represented as "a mess of swirly lines."

There is a VERY bad attempt at making the sign for the god, Horus (on the right-hand side... the really bad bird thing), and on the other side is something that might be Unut, the rabbit goddess -- but she's facing the wrong way and there's no god-sign next to her. That would sort of imply that her name is part of a word (untm is the spelling that's given there) but it's not a word that I know offhand.

There appears to be an attempt to copy numbers at the bottom of the middle panel, and there are a lot of nonsense symbols placed in there as well. There's an attempt at the Egyptian letter "G" at the top of two columns, but it's missing pieces of the design.

Oh yes.. the "flag" next to Fake-Horus is facing the same direction as Unut, which confirms the fakery; the god would never be shown facing away from an emblem-flag.

Personal opinion: it's a really bad fake.

Sorry Byrd but I dont agree with you.
im sure its Isis and I dont have a problem with her hair.
I have in front of me photographs of her from Philae and the columns of the temple of Karnak and her depicted on th tomb wall of Horemheb all showing her with similar styles. It is more unusual she is not wearing the Vulture headress but even this is acceptable from my information. judging as an Amateur I would say that due to her hair style the picture could have originated in the new kingdom 1500 to 1000 BC her hair style is the same as the depictions of the styles that grace the walls of Tutankhaten/amun tomb
As for the Glyphs I will get back to you.

Etowah Mounds

The above site shows two statues that were unearthed at Etowah, I'm not sure if they were actually in one of the mounds or were excavated in one of the digs that were done in the fields surrounding the mounds.

They look to me like there is some central american influence there....just my impression, I'm no expert....but I have talked to people from Guatemala who were surprised that the statues were supposed to be Cherokee. Any thoughts?

First off, there is not any reason why pyramids would HAVE to be in the US.

Now, my question to you is this:

Those "ancient runways" in Peru. How do you know for a fact they are runways? Did you see ancient planes landing on them?

It's actually worse than that. Let me refresh your memory with the REAL Isis:
www.pantheon.org...
Notice that there's no band around her hair, and that she does not wear bangs but rather wears a headdress with beads at the bottom. Furthermore, her linen dress always leaves her nipples exposed in this era.

The crown is wrong; the true one springs from her head and not from a "platform" on her head. The platform existswhen she wears the Vulture headdress:
www.philae.nu...

She is also shown nude, and her other headdress is Osiris' chair:
www.thekeep.org...

Not exactly... and remember, this thing is supposed to be Very Very Ancient -- not New Kingdom. So a NK image also makes the thing false. And anyway, the poses are also wrong for NK.

As for the Glyphs I will get back to you.

Always glad to see other reference material.

What if there was a great city with pyramids right on top where the Grand Canyon is located. Let's say some sort of Egyptian or ancient Chinese civilization began to build monuments like the other kingdoms but then a great catstrophe happened where the earth caved in right under the pyaramids and that how the Grand Canyon was formed.

Remeber also there's an asteroid crater located in Arizona which scientist believe happened 50,000 years ago. the crater is .75 miles across. What if it happened sooner and darkened the sky and made the air toxic unless you lived under ground.

I don't know about the crater you're talking about, but it seems plausible if it happened much later-say one to two thousand years ago.

Just a thought: is it necessary to use metal tools to construct stone pyramids? Maybe that's why there's no stone pyramids in the U.S.; there was no metallurgy, only stone tools.
