every morning the sun light shines at just the right height to make it impossible to see the traffic lights. and by no coincidence it happens in the afternoon on my drive home.

my city's traffic lights track the sun just like the stone monolith in Europe.

yep, it's spring time in the pacific northwest.

It's the same in the rural roads in France. Either they catch the sunrise, sunset or the Winter lunchtime sun.

The one thing I like the most is that so many places have their own Stonehenge effect, where a couple of long buildings placed side by side, create a narrow path that the Sun will only shine through on a particular date/time. There's a couple of hallway and door windows in my workplace that do this. It's only on one particular day (start of Winter holiday) that a beam of light is seen.
