people who say everyone should come in here legally is right.

But then comes the issue of how hard it is to do so(from Mexico)

The reason why I have stayed in America illegally is because I refuse to go live in Mexico. I wouldn't have such a nice life over there like I do here.

I am currently working on becoming legal.

So you don't know of anyone here illegally who ever has voted?

By the way, thank you for answering.

I've gone that route, but somewhere along the way they told me that was not possible. I cant remember why. it was a few years back.I think it was because I was underage.

I will look into that again though.

You are working so I wonder what difficulties you have faced regarding employment?

Welcome to ATS! Have some questions. You say you work. Do you pay taxes? Does your employer know that you are still illegal? Are you paid under the table or do they take taxes from your pay check? Dont mean to intrude in your source of living but man, here in Cali, they're taking around 25% of my check for taxes and SS and what ever they feel they want. Also, what health insurance are you getting since this Obama care has been implemented and enforced?

p.s. You have been here since you were 3, I would actually consider you more American than Mexican. You may have Mexican blood but you were raised American.

Why do you think America is so much better?
How are we able to afford such a better life for people who live here?
What is so special about being legal?
Why do you call yourself a Mexican if you refuse to go live there?

My question is: how many people have you raped, and much drugs have you smuggled, so far?

Seriously though, I don't care if you're an "illegal Mexican". I just hope you're doing all right, man.

I have to work by cash only. Although, I do make a good amount of money, I would like to go do something I've always wanted to do. But due to my illegal status at the moment that is not possible.Employment has always been a tough subject for me.

You have to go through a process is my understanding. Sorry if someone already answered.

Welcome! I understand the stress you must have. You are very brave for saying what you've said and if I were in your position I would be terrified, but that is just me.

I grew up in #ty areas in California, then moved to Utah when I was 10 and was in a somewhat #ty area but it wasnt to bad. And now I live in an area where Mexicans arent very rare.
