That's been done. At the end of the day, only Argentina is disputing ownership, regardless of the historical facts. The Islands and even more remote South Georgia et al are actually quite a distance from Argentina. It's like the UK claiming Iceland.

War won't happen and unless the UK gets some appeasing moron in charge, the Falklands will remain British.

Can I just say, I really like Argentina, I like Argentine people too (Yes I have met a few).

That said, I'd press the button that would turn the whole country into molten glass myself if there was any danger again that the Islanders would be invaded...just so we are clear on this.
