It's heating up now in Brussels as we speak.

The article speaks of how the protesters were yelling profanity and giving Nazi solutes.

It looks like the trouble will not be gone son enough for those folks. With all of the commotion, I'm sure another plan is underway.

Police in Belgium carried out 13 raids in and around Brussels on Sunday, the Belgian Federal Prosecutor's Office said. Authorities took nine people in for questioning. Five were released after questioning, the prosecutor's office said. Police did not release the names of those questioned or details of the raids.

Though organizers postponed a Sunday march in the Belgian capital out of security fears, those who gathered at Brussels' Place de la Bourse were confronted by protesters raising their arms in Nazi salutes and shouting anti-immigrant slogans.

The gathering, which took place in a commercial district in the capital, started out peacefully with mourners laying flowers at the foot of the stairs leading to the Brussels Stock Exchange.

The mood changed at about 2:45 p.m. when several hundred men -- most of them dressed in black, a handful of them with their faces totally or partially obscured, and many of them carrying alcoholic beverages -- arrived on the square.

One demonstrator sparked a flare, and others lit firecrackers in the square. One group unfurled a white banner that said "FCK ISIS" and "Casuals Against Terrorism." It's unclear if the groups are related, but Casuals United is a British far-right group affiliated with the English Defence League, which opposes the spread of Islam and Sharia law.

the police did state the march was cancelled as, surprisingly the police are a little busy at the minute.

This thread is a perfect example of why fascism will surely rise once again in Europe.

Why? Because instead of focusing on the massive issue of terrorists invading the continent, people are worried about the salute of the people being attacked by these terrorist. You somehow think a few people doing nazi salutes is equal to the terror these fellows from the mid east are bringing down upon the people of Europe. It isn't. It's some pissed off people expressing their anger, and actually not blowing anyone up on the process. Anyone with perspective would simple roll their eyes and move on. But no, this currently mentality of "OH NO they said/did something offensive" takes precedence over the lives and safety of Europeans.

Do you know why Hitler came to power? Because the German people were abused and angry, their leaders contributed to the abuse and anger. They were ignored and marginalized in their own nation. Sound familiar? Europeans are being forced to accept a lower quality of life, increased threats of violence, all the while being told that THEY are at fault for not being "nice enough" to everyone. It won't last. And you finger wavers are only hastening the transition to darkness that will surely take place by pissing off more people and sending them into the strong arms of fascists.

I really hope the PC crew realizes, sooner than later, that their antics are simply pushing more people towards fascism, and stop. European citizens did NOT cause ANY of these issues, if someone needs to sacrifice in this scenario it's the nation's leaders that should be doing it, not the random guy/girl on the street.

The pendulum in the west has gone left as far as it can go, and all the pressure built up in the process will soon send it careening to the right, something we've seen more than a few times throughout history.

These sick and twisted Fascists and ISIS are entirely the same in all but worship, there is absolutely no difference between them other than the racial/religious.

To take your country back from a corrupted government that won't abided to its people anymore, for governments that believe in taking away sovereignty and to throw it's own sovereign people under the bus so to speak, I see no other option, but civil unrest or to speak out against the powers that be when your voice is refused to be heard because your government has stolen the power away from the people. Because the the west is blamed for destabilizing the mid east, the west is expected to deal with the massive refugee crisis.
