Trump reveals when he thinks America was great

In a recent interview with the Trump reveals when he thinks America was great. His Answers might surprise you.

Post World War II.

Trump also pointed to the "late '40s and '50s," a time when, he said, "we were not pushed around, we were respected by everybody, we had just won a war, we were pretty much doing what we had to do."

we were not pushed around

Its clear Trump is not very bright when it comes to History.

America hasn't been great since the days when Kelly Kapowski was every guy's dream and the Internet wasn't a big deal.

All right all right.

You say he's not "very bright when it comes to history"--but is he wrong? Many of the last 2 generations look back on a Nation after WWII as one of the most industrious, prosperous and fastest growing in the recent past. There's not many things that I find myself in agreement with Trump, but we were in pretty good shape.

Do you honestly feel that America is viewed with respect now more so than that era? Coming off WWII, there wasn't very many countries willing to stab the US in the back, or felt ballsy enough for any type(terrorism) of attack on US soil. How bout now?

I believe that you need to rethink your stance pal. Trump is right about that. The USA was pretty much #1 in everything for about a 15-20 year period after the war.

Your weak attempt will get another 25,000 votes for Trump.

He actually was correct.

I think Trump was talking about the U.S. as a nation then compared to a nation today.

Why do you inject race in to everything? Are you a race baiter? It's getting kind of pathetic at this point.

Post-WII was a time that we will NEVER see again. Neither Trump nor anyone else can capture or bring back the unique set of circumstances that were in place that allowed the middle class to explode as it did.

During WWII American factories went into over drive, some even had to expand. Post WWII as all the soldiers returned home, the world need rebuilding. America was one of the few industrialized countries that wasn't bombed to hell. America had the manufacturing capacity and the manpower to help rebuild the world.

We can't recapture that again. We can't go back to that "golden age" when you could support a wife and two kids stamping metal in a factory for 40 hours a week.

Let's not forget that segregation was real and thriving, women hardly had a place in the workforce post WWII, being openly gay was practically a death sentence, and interracial marriage wasn't going to be legal until 1967.

So sure, America was "great" for white males. Not so much if you were female or a minority.

It might sound "racist", but statistics show that the African America community had more business owners per capita, better education rates, less felons, less poverty and higher paternal fidelity rates in the 40's and 50's then it does today.

So... who was better off?

SJW, another catch acronym that is really a good thing, but made to look bad. Like conservatives are calling liberal Democrats 'Leftists' now, which is completely inaccurate.

Call Mystik a SSS, I dare you.

He is clearly talking INTERNATIONALLY.

AND he is right. We were admired by Europe and the developing world.

Say we werent.....history is already written about these times.

It was all gravy, the American economy was doing great, we were a light to the world.

Then we lost our way and turned inwards to mess with what was doing so well.
