You didn't need to add in the laser beams and sharks from the Austin Powers movie. It already sounded that ridiculous.

For starters, the Mexican border is 1,954 miles long and if we subtract away 54 miles to allow for border crossings that makes it 1,900 miles. Now if the great wall of Trump requires bricks one foot long, one foot wide and one foot deep then the foundation layer would require...10,032,000 bricks.

Rather than spend billions of dollars on a wall, spend millions of dollars to hire/train 10,000 agents. They will seek out and issue $fines$ to businesses who have illegal immigrants working there. Businesses can be fined for a lot of things. Might as well add this to the list.

If there is no way for illegal immigrants to earn money, they won't come, and those who are here will leave. The Wall idea is expensive overkill for resolving the illegal immigration problem.

We have this thing called 'electricity'.
It was discovered a long time ago. Was it really Ben Franklin who discovered it, or is it a myth?
Nonetheless, this electricity has done a fine and invisible, almost incomprehensible for the horror of it

Anyway...I think it'd be a wise decision to consider the price of not having borders.
Start by asking yourself why in Central America, Mexico makes it quite difficult to enter their country.

Make the top 20% to %50 of the wall adobe bricks or local stone.

Power it with windmills or solar.

Station the Armed forces in bases relocated to the border.

As to the money, cancelling bilingual education would save the US budget 800 million per year-- and that is only one program caused by the influx.
