RIP Homie. You were one of the greatest MCs and a part of one of the greatest groups music has known. Low End Theory was the sound track of my high school years.

An amazing if short lived group.

Positive rap, not all about guns .

His death has made me download their music to relive their positive messages.

I heard about this on the radio this mornning. It's a sad day for music. Tribe Called Quest is one of my favorite rap groups of all time. They made so many great songs. R.I.P. Phife!

Damn...that sucks. ATCQ was awesome, although never my main go-to hip-hop group of the time (I was more of a Wu-Tang Clan guy...Killa Bees!), I really dug their sound, and still do.

Crappy news, but thanks for posting the news and the vid...now I'm off to turn on a playlist of ATCQ...

So sad. Another one from the golden age of hip hop is gone.

I was introduced to ATCQ when they put out "Beats Rhymes & Life"

For me... that was one of a handful of rap albums I knew where you could play the disc front to back, without wanting to skip a song..

Good luck on the otherside, Phife

Sad news man. They brought a lot of positivity to Hiphop, the whole native tongues movement was a great period within the culture.
