That you for this comment. Your clarification is really nice to see.

It seems that we are in agreement, far more than we are disagreeing.

Indeed, it is very complex.

Sorry for misinterpreting what you were saying. Sometimes text doesn't do justice to complex thoughts. A few comments here and there cannot encompass the entirety of our thoughts. Thanks for reminding me.

Yeah, we should just pick sides and nuke the sh*t outta somethin'...anything. Anything deemed "bad" by other "bad" groups. Nice plan.

Let the cleansing begin!

Nice bs with the "socialist" "liberal" blah blah blah.
Could you please stop lumping in everyone with an opinion as "socialist progressive liberals"....it's pretty annoying.

You're being absurd...but it's a tactic that you perceive serves your purpose...so please, by all means, carry on.
Doing nothing, while feigning progressive enlightenment and heralding Political correctness...is obviously working out so well for the people of Belgium.

This is conspiracy site, so let try to think if it is false flag what us the agenda?

To me it looks like Brussels is not a main target or I m wrong?

Brussels is the seat of the E.U.

The result of today will be a call for further solidarity in the member states and continuing co-operation in their on-going battle against extremism.

Or maybe a relocation of the seat

Interesting point.

I know, I even know where, but it is neither the time nor the place, to say right now. The new seat would make EU much stronger, Brussels is a weak spot.

So Britain then..... Good call.

No, no not to the British Empire, but to the Roman Empire, more exactly the east Roman Empire. That's where the seat should be relocated too.

The entire situation is absurd.
Your notion that we should just support those who desire more war or we are "socialist progressives" (blah blah blah) is what is absurd.

What exactly is "my purpose"..?
You haven't read what was being discussed when I initially entered the conversation, have you?

If you had, you would know that I am by far some "socialist progressive", liberal whatever the f***....

ETA:
"Doing nothing" is not something I proposed at all. Try again.
Actually, I didn't propose a damned thing. I was simply talking about what all this is quickly becoming and searching for opinions on viable solutions outside of turning entire countries into glass.

Go back and read my initial comments (page 19 or so)....you're so far off the mark of what I was saying, it's ridiculous.

No problem. I am just getting a bit sick of seeing Muslims painted as the enemy instead of the sick people that perpetuate these acts.

Using that logic (that all muslims are evil), as a Brit, we should clearly be slaughtering Catholics because a couple of them blew us up in Omagh, Londonderry, Belfast, Manchester, Warrington, London, etc - so they must all be bad!

There will always be crazies that want to kill. You can't write off sections of the population because of some crazy nutters.

Appeasement, "diplomacy", "winning hearts and minds", looks like Brussels.

That's all we have been doing is appeasing. And they attack. The only thing left is to surrender.

Either that or fight.

Because the terrorists are not on the "same page" as the rest of us. They don't use "Rules of Engagement". They don't believe in the Geneva Convention.

They don't believe is diplomatic or political solutions.

They want us dead of surrendered.

It's asymmetric warfare when they are killing us and we are trying to broker peaceful negotiations.

"Rules of engagement"....the "Geneva convention"...

When was it that the west started following this again? Torture? DU? etc etc etc.

Again, there are no "good guys" here.
Of course they are going to fight the west asymmetrically...anything else would be senseless, from their perspective.
You cannot fight such military might head on.

Not that I agree with it...just saying.

Well, to be fair, the three letters had a hand in a lot of that, just as they do now.

I think you know this, just pointing it out.

That said, I think I'm going to leave this thread. This is not really the time or place.

I feel sort of dirty for dragging this discussion in this direction, tbh.
I'm bowing out of this one.

There are no good guys.

There is my side and their side.

I want my side to win.

I don't want "my side" harmed.

I want to kill, end, defeat, blow up, erase, "their side.

We need to do something, but what?

In my opinion:

-Only allow entry with passport, full registration, like everyone else who wants to visit the EU.
-Don´t give out money to asyl seekers / refugees, only foodstamps / clothes.
-Don´t # around with criminals, he who thinks he´s above the law in the country he´s seeking protection, should be send back`* on the same day he was ruled guilty.

*Because everyone needs valid papers/passport, the destination is clear and there is no fuss about where the refugee really comes from.

I´ve been to some refugee centers doing work on fire detection systems and you would not believe me how they live down a fresh built solid building in four months. Sorry to say it but my impression is, most of them live and behave like animals. Half of the women there are pregnant. Know the cause? I´ve been thrown broken toys at me for checking their safety!!

To get people of my back here, I support helping refugees. Really. But what I see/saw is sometimes unimaginable. They # and piss into corners 2 METERS AWAY FROM THE TOILET ROOM IN THEIR OWN LIVING ENVIRONMENT.

It´s so disgusting that I refuse to go back to this refugee camp! Let them burn if I can´t do my job because I am yelled at, thrown things after me and live with the risk of people stealing away things from my van, the second I walk around the corner. The idiots unscrew fire detectors and try to give them back at the local supermarket making me jump out of the bed at 2am in the morning driving 40km just because one of those animals living there thought it´s clever to remove the fire detector out of it´s housing. We don´t rush out anymore, now the management has to crawl out of the bed in the middle of the night just because some one thought it´s funny to smash a manual detector and let the fire fighters come in the middle of the night, waking up the whole town.

Not to speak of the pour souls working as fire fighters, who have to do a daytime job also.

There really was a false alarm EVERY night for 8 days last april until we deprogrammed the modem to call out to the local management instead of going right to the firefighters central.

And not to express envy, but hey, they walk around in the best clothes / leather jackets you can find, even looking down on you when you crawl out of your car, sick back because you were working your ass off for 30+ years, they look down on you calling you a kaffier and what not.

rant over, sorry!!!

I agree with your list with a few additions as you know. I hope the fingerprints that Greece has been taking are kept safe and shared with all the countries in Europe along with photos of every one of them. A refugee database would go a long ways to keep track of whereabouts of newcomers.

And wow, I'm so sorry you have to go through all that at your job! The world is upside down crazy right now and it seems all the level headed "right is right and wrong is wrong" people are the only ones who see it. Everyone else is just laying down and taking it as if they like it. I hope your unit filed a complaint against the abuse you received and that an apology was made? Hah, just kidding, you and I know they don't apologize 'cause they're victims, right?

There's no pleasing them or you, apparently.

(chuckle) Stop bombing the Middle East, that would be a good start.

And stop identifying all of Islam with these attacks, the ones carrying this out are not only murderers, but lying too, pretending to be 'religious'.

They blame All of christiandom, that 'pleases' you to no end, I'm sure.

The sick people that perpetrate these attacks are Muslims who are killing for Islam. You guys always throw this "small minority" claim out there, but in reality the number of extremists numbers in the millions and their silent supporters even more millions. It's obviously a world wide issue that needs to be confronted, but instead apologists like you are trying to keep people nice and stupid.

It actually seems like the apologists have more hatred for Donald Trump and his supporters, than a world wide movement of extreme Muslims who want to kill all non-believers.

Man, if only you would have been in charge, post 911. Just think how much safer we would all be if you had rushed in with a trillion dollars worth of ordinance and laid waste to entire countries full of "those other guys."

This would have all been over so much more quickly!

How much safer are we now?

How safe were we when they tried to blow the towers the first time under Clinton?

How safe are the people in Brussels?

Paris?

My solution is to fight.

I'd love to hear a different solution.

Appeasement sure has helped, hasn't it. Just ask all the dead and injured today.

It's time to stop fighting reactive and defensive wars in our own city's, it's time to take it to them! So no that isn't harsh!

It is always significantly more difficult to correct a problem than to prevent one.

Unfortunately, Donald Trump read the "The Snake", at one of his campaign stops, so people are looking at it negatively, instead of as the commonsense lesson it was intended.

I have a friend that thought that all rats aren't bad, so she let her pet rats have the run of one room in her house. She provided them with a Paradise, with runs, wheels, houses, and all the food they wanted. So she was heartbroken when she found they had infested her entire home. All the insulation was destroyed including the insulation in her refrigerator.

Now the average person would say she was foolish, and should have known better. Yet those same people don't see the analogy, when they hear the lyrics of "The Snake."

It is time to stop trying to sugar coat, and time to remove the blinders. Waiting for the war to chase you from your warm and comfortable homes, is not the time to decided something needs to be done, and it will be too late.
