Look at Mississippi for example.

Compare the poverty levels (most likely to receive benefits)

Now compare the Blue Democrat areas

Stunning isn't it.

A Rosetta Stone of democratic ways.

I kinda figured that would be there like that.

Excellent

So my question is, why is it that liberals want to make America more like the countries illegal immigrants flee from?

You do realize that a number of very stable, very peaceful, very high-quality of life countries are liberal too, right?

Don't you think that perhaps there's a bit more to it than just being liberal or not?

All of those liberal states live off of massive debt. None of them are solvent.

LOL And what about all of the capitalist-heavy countries like the US and Japan? We're also stuck with massive national & consumer debt. So apparently the economic system isn't what determines this debt; the techniques for governing do.

Massive debt is socialist, it needs exclusively governmentally defined money.

Basically, everything the gov does, aside from military defense towards other govs, is socialist.

You seem to think debt is only bad when socialistic countries do it.

Debt is bad because it leads to rationing, forever.

I didn't say anything about debt being good or bad. So you really shouldn't make assumptions like that. I responded to someone who was pointing out the massive debt in socialist countries, but they were conveniently ignoring the massive debt in capitalist countries.

And second, debt has nothing to do with socialism. Debt is simply owing something. What's socialist about credit card debt? Or owing a mortgage? Or taking out a business loan?

And countries embrace national debt because sovereign debt is a great investment for wealthy people. This is especially true for large investment banks and other institutional investors. For example, the last time I checked, the company PIMCO owned about $1.5 TRILLION worth of assets, most of which was in different forms of government debt. They earn billions of dollars every year in interest payments just by owning that debt.

Another example is when Russia was hardest hit by sanctions a year or 2 ago. For a while in 2014, they offered debt at more than 14% interest rates. That's an incredible investment, assuming you weren't in a country that placed the sanctions on them (because then it would likely be illegal to invest in them). Any investor or investment company that bought $10 million worth of Russian debt at that level would've gotten $1.4 million every year just in interest payments. Right now, their debt is being offered at a little more than 9%, which is still a great deal.

So please remind me, what's that have to do with socialism?

All countries are capitalist to some degree or they would be dirt poor. All countries are socialist to a greater extent because of the immense wealth generated by capitalism that allows the ruling class to steal the public blind.

And second, debt has nothing to do with socialism. Debt is simply owing something. What's socialist about credit card debt? Or owing a mortgage? Or taking out a business loan?

National debt is socialist and only socialist, as is the banking system that inflates away as much debt as it can make.

And countries embrace national debt because sovereign debt is a great investment for wealthy people.

How is that? National debt makes saving and true retirement impossible. Inflation kills savings and requires every retiree to depend on the gov.

This is especially true for large investment banks and other institutional investors. For example, the last time I checked, the company PIMCO owned about $1.5 TRILLION worth of assets, most of which was in different forms of government debt. They earn billions of dollars every year in interest payments just by owning that debt.

In return they get to spend new mandatory counterfeit money before inflation reduces its value.

Another example is when Russia was hardest hit by sanctions a year or 2 ago. For a while in 2014, they offered debt at more than 14% interest rates. That's an incredible investment, assuming you weren't in a country that placed the sanctions on them (because then it would likely be illegal to invest in them). Money is worth less and less. In your life time, money will lose at least half of its purchasing power. That is due to the socialistic national gov confiscation of the money supply. Only a socialistic mind set, one that thinks the gov can intrude into anything, allows 100% inflation per generation and a National Debt as big as a life time of work per citizen to pay off.

All countries are socialist to a greater extent because of the immense wealth generated by capitalism that allows the ruling class to steal the public blind.

What does that even mean? Just be honest, you don't actually know what socialism is, do you? Because if I'm reading this correctly, you're saying that accumulating immense wealth through capitalism is actually a form of socialism? LOL. Hoarding wealth is literally an opposite effect of socialism (I guess you've forgotten that whole "share the wealth" thing?).

But my favorite part is this:

Money is worth less and less. In your life time, money will lose at least half of its purchasing power. That is due to the socialistic national gov confiscation of the money supply. Only a socialistic mind set, one that thinks the gov can intrude into anything, allows 100% inflation per generation and a National Debt as big as a life time of work per citizen to pay off.

So basically, you're saying that inflation is a symptom of socialism and not capitalism? If so, please go take a quick google research break and learn what capitalism and socialism actually are. Because right now, you're attributing things to socialism that have nothing to do with it. What next, will you also claim that 2 pillars of socialism are "the exploitation of labor" & "buyer beware"?

This is going to be short and sweet and I figured I would pose this question in the mud pit.

First let me just state, we know that the exodus points towards the west, and in this case the United States - coming from primarily failed socialistic society's from south of the border , in other words we see large groups of people immigrating to the United States and not away.

So my question is, why is it that liberals want to make America more like the countries illegal immigrants flee from?

Why not look to democratic countries with western values that have a high level of socialist policies. They are in norther Europe.

There is little difference between democracies with ultra high corruption (south America) and dictatorships. Neither are the model of a socialist democratic country.

That is because of gerrymandering and segregation.

Maybe they want to make it more like Canada rather than a fractious country like Mexico.

The vote map referred to is by County.

How do they gerrymander Counties?

You really don't know racists. My aunt Betty has lived in ms all her 75 years. Not one day was ever spent in the company or socializing with black people. They construct the voting blocks the same. None of my cousins ever went to school with a black person. That is why charter schools are pushed. Segregation.

Well, this entire thread's premise is bogus, since no country in South America (maybe Venezuela?) is considered "socialist".

Here's a MAP OF SOCIALIST STATES

I see 1 in South America.

Whoop whoop!

Obvious troll is obvious.

That's a bit harsh.

I think he deserves a little more credit than he is shown with this mod certified statement.

What does your personal testimonial have to do with your total misunderstanding of gerrymandering?
