An Arizona resident snapped some pictures of a semi carrying an odd and large object going up Arizona 77. The semi was escorted by the Arizona Department of Pubic Safety and when contacted the DPS said they didn't know what it was either. They just gave an escort. They did tease that it was a UFO, but it was meant as a joke since they have no idea what it is and are just as curious.

What it is and why it is...well. how bizarre.

Any one else have some pix from the net? or heard of something? And have an opinion as to wth it's doing to bfe arizona?

Possibly one of the X-47s heading back to Palm to get stripped before heading to a museum. They were supposed to not be funded after this year.

There's a shot from 2012 that doesn't look a whole lot different than this.

May of been an Arizona resident that took the picture, but all the references in this article seem to confuse US route 77 and AZ route 77. All the news channels cited start with a W, not a K. Seems to be a very mixed up, and ultimately bad, article.

I do not know about this picture, but one very much like it or exactly like it was making the rounds several years ago and found to be just another giggamajig being moved from one place to another. The fact that as seen from this picture it bears resemblance to a saucer caused quite a stir.

I have to ask myself, would anyone try to transport an alien saucer rapped so as to not hide it's shape at all down a major highway where every Tom Dick and Harry can see it?

It's a military drone without its wings.

I thought this was really similar to the one from 2012 or so, which turned out to be an x-47b with folded wings. There was a thread about it here a couple of weeks ago? As you can see, it is pretty similar.

Hide in plain sight ? Seriously , this looks like a standard radar dish being transported with the protective wrapping on.

Most radar systems don't use dishes anymore. A long range radar uses a different type of antenna, as does ATC radar. There is a swing towards AESA and UHF/VHF radars in recent years, which use large fixed antennas.

Yes , you are correct. However , there are still a large number of dish radars still in use. I see them at the ARB near where I live and I guess ,and it is a guess , they are still in use.

Most of those are probably communications dishes. Moving a radar dish that size requires a huge motor, and unless it moves is only looking one direction. Antennas like you're describing are still extremely common for communications.

There are some radar antennas like that, but they're generally pretty small, which require a small motor to move around. Usually they're more like a framework that you can see through. They're frequently transported without being covered too. I've seen several of them on flatbeds moving around.

This was the X-47 being moved in 2012.

this one being moved is either surrounded in pipes to throw off th e shape OR its a Allien attacker from independence day. its front it FLAT its liek th eshape of a stop sign. on one side.

It could be flat in the front because it's sitting sideway on the trailer, like in the Helendale RCS photo linked in the OP. With wings removed, the flat part could be a wing root?

If that is indeed the case, I don't think it would be an X-47B, since it's around 38' from nose to tail, whatever is on that load is about 30-31 feet wide (according to my thumb against the monitor of my laptop). They hauled the two of them all the way across the country in the other configuration, must have worked well so why change that up?

Difficult to tell what it is from the angle of the photo, and the photographer only took one shot, I can't even get an axle count on the tractor or trailer. Either a 47 going to get stripped, like Zaph said, a stubbier airframe with the "crank" removed from the "kite" for transport, or possibly just random specialty machinery or tank heading to a manufacturing plant.

If it was a UFO type craft it would be have been a reverse engineered one anyway as if it was a real one it would likely have been damaged as a result of its reason to be on the ground to be retrieved. I doubt they would use surface transport methods to transport anything not from this planet anyway as they would have used other methods'
