When you actually want to know why you don't get much in the way of convection or 'voids' in the ionosphere due to heating, let me know, I'll try to keep the maths to a grade school level for you. Your hint is, again, what's the buoyant force like when the bottom end of your volume is at 0.001psi? How much mass is there in even a large volume of near vacuum? How much force can that exert on the troposphere?

When you understand that, you'll see why you don't get weather changes like the doom porn folk would have you believe.
