Where's the increase in bio diversity of the earth is warming and where is the increase in weather patterns, in repetition not strength?

Yep, that list is trotted out over and over and over.

Eh, we had one of those before. It was warmish all winter; then it was hot all summer. Then the winter after that was brutal with tons of snow.

It's called weather. It changes. This year, we had a strong El Nino, so it should be expected.

So why do you accept the science behind El Niño, but not that of anthropogenic climate change?

Do you think climate scientists are unaware of weather and the fact that it changes?

Were you aware that weather and climate are different things?

You may be right, people will definitely turn to him concerning climate change since Obama wants to make denying climate change a federal crime.

I probably know less about this than most here but isn't it the co2 we should be worrying about instead of the temps ?

Not to worry. Donald Trump will promise to fix it and more people will turn to him to save us.

I do not get this thing Americans do on this site, in bringing up politics in discussions about the climate change!!

What does politics have to do with it???

I mean, if we go further into discussion on specific policies concerning environmental issues in the future (pollution and such) okay, each country has some discussion to do on that- but climate change is bigger than those- none of our policies will touch that. They will make small changes in our immediate environment, but they won't touch the giant cycles of the earth.

I don't know, in Europe, those types of environmental issues are taken seriously, but apart from the larger event of our global climate changes. I seriously do not understand what any politician has to do with this. Is there really people in America that believe it possible for a human to change the cycles of earth? We just have to elect the right person (American, of course...) and he will change our planet from it's usual program???

Yup things will get very bad!

The Planet is 'wobbling' due to Planet X's gravitational effects..this in turn is pulling the polar vortexes down further towards the equator and like wise pulling equatorial air further away from where it should reside.

Sun sets are also out of position as is the moon and its phases.

The objects I have under observation (for two years ago) are also becoming more obvious and the planes are still desperately covering them-make your plans fast ATS!!

Perhaps the northern hemisphere has given up on 'climate' now we just have 'weather'?
Seems to me the seasons have slipped, either forwards or backwards, hard to tell, need about another fifty years to get a handle on it.

Certainly you are correct Blues. My comment there was a snide dig at the blind American who does nothing to solve or deter a problem, then not understanding the severity of that problem, turns to a savior type to help them out of the mess they are in.

As far as the great cycles of the earth, I am not sure whether or not this climate fluctuation is a matter of cyclical change. It could be our doing from all I can understand. We know for sure that we can influence smaller natural conditions. Smog for one. The great dust bowl of the 1920s for another. The filth that is clogging up our oceans. The hole in the ozone layer. The Easter Islanders out stripping their environment. Heck, any animal species that is so successful with in it's particular niche until it makes that niche UN-survivalble for itself. This earthly environment is a fragile thing. I think it entirely possible that we have nudged this environment to such a degree. Like spinning top spinning on a flat table when the table tilts just a little until it spins its way off.

So, for me, these vacillating weather conditions are beyond the limited power or any official to correct. And while we bicker on whether or not CC is real and then whether or not we had anything to do with making it happen, we all sit around and deny that it is happening at all, rather than begin to discuss how we are going to deal with it if it is.

So yeah, I hold out no hope for Mr. Trump and his big promises to help us in any way with this, or any other local or global problems.

But in your many other Px threads you state that the "earth is halted in its orbit", but now its wobbling? which is it? Sunsets are in the right place to me, if they were wrong the planet would not be "halted in its orbit"

For planes with their non existant chemtrails to "hide" anything, the entire sky, everywhere on any given hemisphere, would have to be covered. there is this thing called perspective. Something in the sky at one point will be in a different point 200 miles away, let alone 500, 1000. 2000 etc etc

Stop peddling your PX rubbish, nobody believes your ramblings and doom

I'm still scratching my head waiting for someone to point me to the theory of "Climate Stasis". You know, where the climate always stays the same no matter what. So basically when someone points to any adverse" change" in the weather or seasons, you are telling me that "Water is wet" (Duh, which is already obvious). Or, that one is either trying to play me stupid in avoiding the obvious, that other forces are in play causing these massive shifts in the jet stream, upper atmosphere, ozone layer, ocean currents, glacier melts, etc..

May I suggest another thing to look for is the recent beetle invasion (no not the rock group thingy: 1960's).
Is this the year of the great famine, due to pestilence? I sure hope not.

I think people need to calm down and get a sense of proportion.

Even the IPCC in AR5 2013 acknowledged that the earth had only warmed at the rate of 0.05C/decade over the last 15 years despite humans emitting 30% of all their CO2 since 1850.

Then we have one hot El Nino and everyone starts freaking out about global warming. It's ridiculous.

Where did the heat that the El Nino releases come from? www.nodc.noaa.gov...

Why is THIS one so much hotter than 1998?

Obviously there will still be fluctuations---when the fluctuations are on top of a secular trend upwards?

Things are obviously different than 2013.

There isn't one.

When humans change the boundary conditions on the atmosphere from emitting greenhouse gases---the climate changes.

Where is the scientific evidence?

Quantitative evidence, backed with strong observational interlinked measurements, a good theory that something other than global warming from more greenhouse gases is responsible for the dominant effects we see, and an explanation why the evidence that points to global warming is incorrect?

Just asserting "it could be something else" is NOT science.

I live in central Louisiana near a lake and we have had this past few weeks record flooding. It floods here semi regularly but there were parts around me that I've never seen flood and never thought I would see flood. Many people on the lake lost their homes and cars when the dam overflowed into the bayou (thank god I live on a hill and not on the waterfront) and the highway just opened back up today.

People can say what they want but I remember thirty years ago the weather here seemed different. It was much wetter it seems like, with droughts being an unheard of thing. Now its pretty common. Unpredictability has always been a common theme with the weather I know, but it certainly seems more erratic to me.

Bring on the delorians with the trash/fusion power that fly and have a flux capacitor. You know they've black budgeted making that bad boy and got it stashed somewhere.
