I think it is rather ignorant to go around assuming that just because people speak poorly about Trump, that it is because they are scared of him and not because they are pointing out real problems with the way he goes about doing things.

Geesh you aren't too smart, are you

One could easily say you must have a college education?

Throwing insults is easy, and it's usually those with insecurities in their own life who feel empowered by calling others stupid or uneducated who are those who feel threatened due to their own insecurities...

No wonder this country is so divided, but yet it's all Trumps fault! roflmao

he is more like a "loose cannon".

Im more afraid of what other countries will think of us or do to us, and what will come out of his mouth, he is not professional.

I don't really think he will be able to single-handedly ruin our country, but a republican house, senate and pres may.

I just tire of this narrative that the left is at fault for trying to disavow Trump. It isn't true. The left doesn't have to do anything about Trump until the general election. They could care less if he tears down the GOP. Hell it makes it easier for them in the general election. Hell the left can't even keep a lid on Sanders, let alone worry about stopping Trump.

I can commensurate with your post. I never claimed the left is the sole entity seeking the destruction of Trump, yet he seems to prosper in spite of the constant negativity and attacks. This election cycle is the absolute strangest I've ever witnessed, and the weird factor elevates each day. I personally thought the implosion would come, but Trump just shrugs off all and gains strength.

ATS is overrun will liberals(communists) so of course he would be getting flamed on this site....

Liberals are communists?

Trumps problems are of his own making by running his mouth like white trash, never taking personal responsibility, and attracting violent thugs.
Most American voters from both parties are moderates; not quite the demographic that Trump wants to attract anyway.

Trumps problems of winning 13 primaries, polls indicating he'll dominate real Super Tuesday, and leading the delegate count?!? You betas just can't comprehend that a great amount of people despise you and have had enough of your antics.

Its up to the individual to make up their own mind as to the strengths and weaknesses of the candidates and make their choice if someone does not agree with you that does not make them stupid,in fact in this case no candidate has explained why they would be better than Trump in any truly convincing manner.Im not a Trump fan in fact I believe he is the re-incarnation of Mussolini in which case destiny will prevail over reason and logic.

I was just implying that it wasn't too smart to vote for Trump based solely on that people hate him...

tis true, that IS stupid.

However, I believe she wasn't being literal so I took it back.

Watch what happens in Tuesday's primaries.

I'll agree with that. It's one of the reasons I've toned down my participation here recently. I got suckered into a few Trump threads again today, but I've been trying to stay away from them. I just feel dumber every time I try...

I'm at a conflict. I REALLY think November can't get here soon enough, but then I remember that we are just now coming out of winter and I don't want to be looking at ANOTHER winter. I'm at a catch 22... I just need to tune the news out for a while and enjoy the coming warm months.

American liberals in their modern sensibilities resemble communists in almost every single facet...

This is a fact...and inarguable...the only curious part is why they are so lacking in self-awareness when their dogma is predicated on their superior intellect(I remember al gore sympathizer claiming he was 'too smart' to fully connect with the American people...gore had a b- gpa so forgive me if I'm not in intellectual awe...president obama's gpa is similarly unimpressive)..

To be fair, however, one must consider the liberal voting base of single moms with multiple baby daddies probably bring down their mean iq(pun intended) so I should cut the literate liberals a bit of slack....

Sorry if my post was not clear, or did not explain. I guess it has been explained so often, I took for granted that my deeper meaning would be clear.

I think that Trump has what it takes to clean up our economy and get our country back on track - trade, immigration, health care - everything.
He knows how to work the system, and he is the only candidate with the real work experience to accomplish something.
And - he is not in the pocket of the special interest groups, and is not going to be controlled by other politicians.
THAT is why I think they are scared of him. He is going to make changes, and he is not going to cower to the powers that have controlled other presidents.

That said - I do think he is smart enough to work with congress. He will surround himself with smart people and make the tough choices. I don't think he will force executive orders as some fear. I think he knows how to negotiate and will get it done.

I also think he has some issues with saying things that are not PC, and I don't care, as long as he gets the job done. It should not be a popularity contest. It should be choosing the best person to do a job.

All of the above scare the heck out of both sides of the establishment, and they are freaking out.

I apologize, and it's cool! I just hate seeing someone being called stupid when they have the courage to write their opinion on ATS!

Gotta admit, it can be grueling for the uninitiated?

The only thing that is going to stop Trump is Trump. He is successfully identifying himself as a non politician and is bringing people out who have felt powerless in our system. The country is fed up with political correctness, particularly when it stands in the way of making our country better. Outsiders have been taking advantage of our freedoms to undermine those freedoms for decades and Americans are waking up to this.

I have not bought the whole Trump thing yet because I don't think he can pull off everything he claims he is going to do. If he could, I must admit, I would re-think my position.

Rubio and Cruz are unacceptable choices. They work for an organization that has a 12% approval rating. They are newbies to boot. It would be like NFL teams fighting over who is going to draft two freshmen on the country's worst college football team. Who would do that? Neither of the two, despite all the rhetoric, have made one bit of difference in the Senates effectiveness. If they want to be leaders, then they should lead. So far they haven't in their current jobs; why the hell would we consider giving them a promotion?

The democrats are worse. First there is Hillary, who is bobbing and weaving, trying to avoid a serious indictment. She should go to prison. Shouldn't even be a question for anyone. Now she is saying world leaders want to endorse her but she won't name them. So, since she wont say who, knowing her track record, I think she is lying or stretching the truth greatly. Would not surprise me though if Putin wanted to get her elected. It gives him and his spies access to all of our classified material. Then there is Bernie and his goody bag of free stuff. Free education would be the worst thing possible for this country. Once the government gets involved with the cost of education the cost will go through the roof. To the student, yeah, it will be free. But Econ 101: Anything with no cost has no value. Someone will have to pay for it and once the government inserts itself into the equation you may raise the cost by at least 30%. Since the buyer will not be involved there will be no equilibrium point and the cost will just continue to inflate.

But lets assume for the sake of argument that Bernie somehow gets around these problems. Does anyone remember when Obama, during his first administration, came out with some weird program where the goal was for everyone to "self actualize"? The idea was that society would support artists and such to achieve their ideal self actualization point. If anyone has studied human motivation you are probably familiar with Abraham Mazlow and his Pyramid. Self Actualization sits at the top. There are five or six levels starting with shelter, food, etc. moving up to friends, relationships, love, education and career. The point is you must satisfy one level before moving up. It would be stupid to try to get married if you do not have shelter for example. So, here is what I predict would happen with free education: Students would major in something ridiculous. Say....basket weaving. They would then graduate and not be able to find a basket weaving job that pays to the level where they can self actualize. So, they will go to the government and demand a basket weaving job, which the government will then provide. However, it will come with conditions. The next thing you know Bernies Socialism will become a harsh reality. And all of us hard working tax payers who started at the bottom of the pyramid will pay for these graduates to self actualize, taking care of housing, food, and all the other things in between. It will all get back to the fact that these students will have a valueless education, a situation Bernies government created but it will provide Bernie with the opportunity to grow socialism in our country.

I could go on and on with my version of Alvin Toffler' s Future Shock but you probably get the point. If Trump gets elected we will go in exactly the opposite direction and many people who have bought the Obama idea of success will get murdered in a Trump economy. They will not be able to compete and will believe the government owes them. (that will happen regardless who gets elected).

Things look pretty bleak folks.

Hows it working? Sure the MSM and the left is all over him, 24/7, but more people than over can see right through the media's BS. More people than ever distrust our media. Due to this, and things like people generally not respecting the types of protesters we see at Occupy Wall St. BLM events or now at Trump rallies, it's having the inverse effect. It's helping.

Today was the first time Trump broke the 50% threshold in national support.

Trump breaks 50% for the first time

So keep it up, MSM! You've been wrong about Trump at every turn and each time you come up with a new attempt to cut into the guy, you end up helping him. It's akin to the definition of insanity, they try the same, repeated tactics over and over and expect different results while Trump just keeps rising and rising.

If the MSM really wanted to harm Trump, they'd stop covering him. Instead they turn their outlets into 24/7 Trump coverage. Free publicity! Bravo.

Thanks, haha.
I guess I should have just explained myself better in the original post. I have explained my views so often, that it seems too obvious to have to keep explaining.

I am a professional, and a college graduate, but I am not so oversensitive that I am going to care if someone calls me stupid, especially when it is obvious that they are jumping to conclusions.

You are right, those who have to try to belittle others usually just have some kind of inferiority complex themselves.

I would have to totally disagree with the entire premise of your post. The fact is is that Trump could very well all but sew up a very serious claim to the GOP nomination by tomorrow night. On the other hand, Sanders is polling very well in Illinois and Ohio, and if he wins those two states it is possible that the Dem primary season could go the distance.

This could give the GOP National Committee and Trump two months to hammer out agreements and talk strategy. Those two months Sanders and Clinton will be focusing on each other. They will be spending money.

Trump as a clear nominee with a truce with the GOP and tons of time, money, and resources , plus GOP establishment support makes the road to the White House much more difficult for the Democrats. Don't act like the Democrats have no dog in this fight right now. The best thing the Dems can hope for is Trump failure tomorrow and if they can interject themselves into the GOP race in a manner that may ensure this result they will.

Seriously? The established left are getting a 2 for 1 deal through Soros. Encouraging protesting and focusing blame on the young Bernie protestors. Clinton is very much involved with the recent media hype!

The established right are just focusing on keeping as many candidates in the race until convention and that will allow them to vote for their general election candidate.

One thing is for sure...tomorrows election will be the one to watch. Kasich and Rubio don't come in at least 2nd of their respective states...they should step down, but will they?
