In looking through recent threads, does anyone else see the common theme in play? The build-up of negative stories and articles of the ongoing circus surrounding the Trump train seem to dominate the news while other candidates are sitting back, watching the proceedings. Clinton and Sanders add fuel to the fire by releasing statements condemning Trump and his staff's treatment of protesters, perhaps in the hopes of witnessing an implosion. Threads featuring them have dropped off, with Trump being object of most political threads.

Is this part of the script? The list of those who'd like to see Trump's fall are many, from the Left to establishment Republicans, from major backers to many media outlets(even though Trump's antics provide endless material). Do you agree, or disagree? What's your take on this topic?

I would say that we need to wait until tomorrow to determine if it's working. If Trump does poorly or is completely shut out, then yes, it's working. If he can take Florida, or Ohio, or both then perhaps he truly is unstoppable

It's always been like this though. They've been showing negative Donald Trump since the day he announced his candidacy.

It will be interesting. Florida especially. If Marco doesn't come in 2nd and at less than 20%, he's going to have to bow out of this race.

Yea. This. I'm not sure what the OP is talking about.

PS: @OP, yo check this out. This should fuel your conspiracy theory narrative. It's how the GOP plans on pulling the rug out from under its voting base.
How to Steal a Nomination From Donald Trump

So instead of reading into flimsy conspiracy theories about how the left is trying to destroy Trump. Check your own backyard.

How many of these protestors are college students? How many of them "think" they are educated?

Guess they weren't taught our systems of checks and balances that no matter who the President is we still have the house and senate and judicial branch to stop any craziness?

Yet they try to appear to be intelligent by saying "Trump is Hitler"!

No wonder people are pissed they are paying so much money to be educated!

They are really pushing because tomorrow is so important. I don't believe the trump train will slow for anything. If you're on board you realize media manipulation and thus media manipulation is unlikely io change your perspective.

Hey, man, it's not my fault that the things the Don and his supporters say provide fertile ground for an assortment of different jokes and "wtf," moments.

Oh yes, there is certainly a covert operation underway to undermine the Trump campaign... I think one has watched too much television lately.

Trumps campaign is derailing itself, I'm just enjoying watching the moments of Idiocracy through and through.

Perhaps there is a great deal of people who just... don't like him, and there actually isn't a conspiracy?

Some of you sound like Admiral Ahkbar... "It's a trap!"

This should fuel your conspiracy theory narrative.

The point of the thread is the highlighting of negative Trump threads and the drop off of ones featuring Shillary and Sanders.

Funny, I thought I listed both left and right entities in my "flimsy conspiracy theories". I guess the topic really riles posters, as evident in your post.

If you say so. It's just that it's pretty obvious that the right are the ones doing everything in their power to destroy Trump, while the left is just sitting back and watching the GOP burn (and laughing). Though the DNC is also worrying about its own problems. As far as the left worrying about Trump, all they are doing is adopting political strategies to run against him in case that happens if he is nominated.

Plus your "evidence" is based on your subjective (and personal) poll of ATS threads. Not exactly high caliber polling data or evidence there...

The antics of the Trump campaign is supplying "wtf" material daily to the media. The emotion and reactions to Trump as a person creates animosity in much of the population, and it is reflected in posts found in any Trump thread.

Once again, not as much a conspiracy than an overt effort to see Trump fail.

This is addressed in the 2nd paragraph of my original post. We're in agreement.

I wasn't writing a thesis paper here. Merely asking if others noticed this trend and what their opinion was of the subject. I didn't anticipate the ire so early in the discussion. As to the RW Republican Establishment's position on Trump, and any efforts to derail his campaign, this has been discussed in the media. The frantic scrambling by them is quite hilarious to me.

"Agenda to Derail Trump Campaign is Working"
----------------------------------------------
He's leading in most primary polls....soooo, it's not working well...

ATS is overrun will liberals(communists) so of course he would be getting flamed on this site....

ATS is an awesome site but it's commenters are hardly representative of the voting populace as a whole...in fact, we are the minority...
We believe in everything from aliens to magic omnipotent beings in the sky(different from aliens)...
Also, I'm pretty sure like 50% of this site is dedicated to proving the earth is flat and we didn't walk on the moon....

Anyhow, I will vote for anyone who is not Hillary short of said nominee having more blood on their hands then her...
And unless Mao, Pol Pot, Stalin or any slew of socialist despots are resurrected I don't think that's gonna happen...

Seems the Sanders/Hillary supporters as well as the main DNC and RNC committees are running out of gas.

The only thing left is to run smear campaigns that benefit all anti-Trump'ers for the short term.

Then they will split off and smear each other.

Total breakdown

By tomorrow night, ultra panic will set in.

I just tire of this narrative that the left is at fault for trying to disavow Trump. It isn't true. The left doesn't have to do anything about Trump until the general election. They could care less if he tears down the GOP. Hell it makes it easier for them in the general election. Hell the left can't even keep a lid on Sanders, let alone worry about stopping Trump.

If you are trying to blame his fall on the media, that is a pretty big step.

Trump looks bad even without the media. Hes horrible

It does seem like there is an agenda to push anything that happens as Trump's fault, and to do anything and everything to stop him.
It's interesting.
Someone really, really, is scared of Trump.
Makes me want to vote for him even more

Liberals are communists?

Trumps problems are of his own making by running his mouth like white trash, never taking personal responsibility, and attracting violent thugs.
Most American voters from both parties are moderates; not quite the demographic that Trump wants to attract anyway.
