Something weird when I googled my ATS name

I often use Google to check for previous threads before posting a topic. Today, just for fun, I wanted to see what would come up if I googled my ATS name.

What I expected was a list of all the posts I have made on ATS. What came up, however, was something that has me a little concerned. There were nine results listed altogether. I took a couple of screenshots so you can see what I'm talking about. I don't know how big they will be when I post this. If they're too small to read, I'll post the thumbnails instead.

The first screen shot shows the first five results.



The first one is not unusual and is sort of what I expected. Two and three appear to be from ATS but they timed out and didn't load. I'm not too concerned about them. Number four went to a page that was just a jumble of stuff that happened to have that string of characters in it. Five also timed out so I have no idea what it is.

This second screen shot shows the ones I'm concerned about. These are listings six through nine.



Number six goes to a site for some fence company. Seven goes to a porn site, eight goes to a site for some get rich moneymaking system and nine goes to another porn site.

As you can see, the descriptions for these links have information that obviously comes from ATS.

How does that happen? If anyone can shed some light on this for me, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

How is this happening?

I just checked out my screen name and opened a few links, I wish I hadn't.

N3k9Ni, something like this happened to me but not thru ATS. It was thru another site.

My friend is a software engineer at Google. I called him and told him the situation. He told me google uses all your search history and stores it. Mine and yours too have been cross linked with your ATS name. here is a source

I can understand that but how does it become associated with porn sites? I don't generally search for porn and/or fencing.

Thankfully I don't get any of that? or even an ATS link....

I didn't get anything interesting searching my username.
Some song lyrics, a twitter hash tag, a couple news stories.

Blupblup as indigent is not as unique as N3k9Ni so we get tons of unrelated results, like blup blup island, or the word indigent definition in my case

You and I are not the only one this happens to. Blog sites too get linked to porn using the bloggers blog name. He is a source from google questions. source

It seems like a porn site linked to your posts using your ATS name. I feel bad this happen to you.

Lets be honest though most of what you found was of your own making...

I googled my name and not surprisingly I cam up with nothing but dictionary definitians and legit sources.

Somewhat disappointed I added the word "porn" to the search and just got a bunch of ATS "doom Porn" threads I have been involved in....

I just did mine and found that some clown in the Pacific Northwest has been using my screenname since 2010 as his Twitter handle.
