Being able to "amass more crap" doesn't equate to a higher standard of living.

Tell the socialists that.

Good luck.

And people are free to go where they want in Europe too. You don't think Europeans like to go places and do things? Europeans are about a thousand times more well-traveled than the average American.

Having traveled outside of the USA, you meet far more Europeans than Americans. Traveling abroad raises your awareness, opens your eyes and gives you perspective. This is probably why on average Europeans are more liberal...

This is also a reason why Americans who travel abroad more are also more liberal, and why both coasts of the USA are made up of blue states.

Oh I know. I'm not trying to change their minds lol Replying to them has nothing to do with convincing them. I do it because they've gotten entirely too comfortable in the Conservative echo chamber ATS has become.

They're challenged very little in their "dirty liberal filthy Muslim godless communist socialist" threads, because honestly....who can stomach that kind of negative energy and ignorance other than the most die-hard forum warrior?

But I'll be damned if I let them defecate all over a Bernie thread unchallenged. I'd walk on coals for that guy

Corporatism with a very large federal government being friendly with large corporations is extremely corrupt.

Material wants?

Youre saying clean air and sustainable production are material desires, unreasonable?

That lower crime rates.. Is materialistic?

People are free to move to Europe too since it's all that and a bag of chips.

What they are not 'free' to do is force me in to it.

And tea party folks and hardcore conservatives can move to Somalia where there's no government to tell them what to do.

What they are not 'free' to do is force me into their vision of the future.

Hahaha no NEO. Not all Americans do have healthcare. And Europeans get it without life destroying debt. Democratic Socialism works great. The people who actually understand economics have been beating this drum for years. The time of unfettered crony capitalism is over.

What do you think socialism is?

People want the STATE to give people stuff they supposedly can't get on their own.

ALL of it are corporate products.

Healthcare,Education, birth control pills, and the list goes on. God only knows what will be deemed 'human' rights next.

The STATE was never created for that.

I wouldn't say he's in cahoots either.

But, just like you said, if he understands economics, which I do as well, then why does his endorsement not raise red flags for you considering him being a major wall street investor and those are the "bad guys" according to Bernie.

Is it not possible that with his understanding of economics coupled with his self professed greed, he may be seeing some large payouts in the future if ol Bernie gets the nod?

for instance that someone in the bottom 40% spending 100% of their money might not be nearly enough as someone in the top 10% spending 10% of their income.

The point is how the bottom 40% don't have the opportunity to 'invest in Wall Street'. It takes 100 - 110% of their wages just to survive. The top 1% can afford whatever they want and spend only a comparative drop of their money.....
thanks for your participation, Mis!

When people like Sanders voted to create the medicare capital gains sur tax.

When people like Sanders voted to increase the capital gains tax rate.

When people like Sanders voted to CAP IRA and 401k contribution limits.

When people like Sanders created the Federal Reserve that artificially manipulates interest rates to when checking, savings, cd's, and money markets all pay a dumbfounding .01% interest rate per year.

People like Sanders need to shut up.

When it's their ideology, and legislation that have made it near impossible for the middle class to increase their wealth.

And it especially falls on deaf ears for a one percenter 'has been' to endorse Sanders delusions.

Sanders want to increase minimum wage so that more people can earn better livings. The more capital in the economy will increase sales, then revenue will increase which promote more hiring due to growth.

Sanders also wants to make education free which will leads to more middle class jobs and less service jobs.

Finally Sanders wants to audit the Fed which is not even popular in mainstream conservative circles so I do not know what you are talking about there.

For 35 years and more, conservatives have been offering up tax breaks for the wealthy as a way to better the economy.
Meanwhile taxes have been lowered on the wealthy and it has do little to grow the middle class, it has only created more disparity.

Really you want to be forced into indentured servititude paying for every litle whim of the mob?

That is what socialism is.

Cradle to the grave entitlement where the fruits of your labor 'belong' to the collective.

Clearly DID NOT read those links.

Over 130 million DO, and that is just between medicare, and medicaid. Then you can figure in TRICARE.

Then the rest of private employment that ALL offer it.

And one more time since someone REFUSED to read it.

MEDICAID was created specifically created to 'give' it to those who didn't.

There is no ISSUE.

Because, the only way for that greed-monster to make more money is with a healthy economy.

In order to have a healthy economy, we need more consumers with disposable income.

I could care less if the greed-monsters like Gekko make more money as long as the rest of the economy is doing great. In a great economy not only does Gekko make out, but we all do as well.

This is just turning the conservative argument that Sanders would be bad for economics back on them, and then conservatives trying to claim its some kind of horrible endorsement Sanders should run away from.

No, it's using their own ammunition against them, and that scares the hell out of people.

Sanders want to increase minimum wage so that more people can earn better livings.

Which is IDIOTIC.

The first step is fixing the money. Since it's fiat, and as every single day that goes by the value decreases.

Which means it takes MORE cash to buy the same things.

People need to see the flaw in their so called logic.

Since any wage increase translates across the board. Where EMPLOYERS having to shell out MORE cash for their employees social security benefits, their medicare benefits. Their workmanscomp benefits, and their unemployment benefits.

Fix the MONEY.
