Will this happen before or after Hillary's trial? Hillary apologists in 3...2...1

I dunno, but I think both of them should have to suspend their campaigns if they are under legal investigations. I believe that with every candidate......

We have come to a sad state in America where this sort of thing is acceptable, and they can run and we just shrug our shoulders.

It should NEVER be acceptable

You're comparing a civil lawsuit to a federal indictment? So some idiot on Judge Judy is equal in your mind to somebody intentionally mishandling top secret information

Exactly. Trump is being sued by a private individual in a class action lawsuit. He IS NOT under investigation for fraud or he would be indicted with a felony offense. My prediction is that when the judge reviews the evidence the case will be dropped with prejudice.

The charges that Hillary may face are a felony offense or greater per each instance of infraction and not as an aggregate infraction. Hardly comparable. This case will move forward if anyone decides to press charges. If charges are brought I can guarantee she will be indicted.

If your idea was the law, how would that actually work out? You really don't think business leaders, defense contractors, intelligence agencies, politicians, and law enforcement would use that as the ultimate loophole to stop candidates that oppose them?

Im sure they would, but thats why the legal grounds for cases need to be explored, that goes for all candidates......

Im sorry that you think its ok for presidential candidates to be under criminal investigation and still run for office....

And these cases both for Hillary and Trump , look to have solid foundations ........

If it looked frivolous i could see that, but from everything we can see so far it is indeed NOT

Especially from someoen whose whole platform was that hes a great "BUSINESS MAN" fit to lead the country under his brand of running companies.......

And the other is a loon pretending we arent eyebrow deep in debt.

Insane.

1) Trump University was a fraud in the sense that it was nothing more than a gussied up late night TV real estate seminar a la Carlton Sheets. It was designed to separate chumps from their money. However, it may have been a legitimate business enterprise in terms of having all the appropriate licenses, etc.

2) It is a class action lawsuit. In other words, lawyers trolling for a pay day. Hey, did you pay Trump University $10k and failed to become a real estate millionaire? Join our lawsuit. If we win, the lawyers get 30% of the payout and you get $5.00 credit for the minibar and a free night a Trump hotel which is all that is left after the remaining 70% is split up among the chumps that lost money.

3) This is like suing Micheal Jordan over Nikes being made in sweatshops. Jordan is has just licensed his image which is all Trump really did with this "university". It makes sense given he is the most well known RE developer in the world. I highly doubt he knew or cared what people were being taught as long he was getting his royalties for his name.

if you dig deep enough, you can find dirt that can be spun on anyone. This is why no one really wants to run for public office. It is too easy to pin something on someone and make it out to be more than it is to a gullible public.

I've often thought of running for office. I already know what dirt they will find on me. I work in housing finance. I'm sure they will try to pin some foreclosure on me or accuse me of predatory lending.

according to whom? Are you a lawyer?

The AG is the one who initiated this investigation years ago........you didnt read the article at all did you?

Nice to see how on point your bias is

I don't even know what the # your talking about in your nonsensical ramblings, and to call somebody else bias is beyond ironic. Your entire existence after Rand Paul got flushed like a turd has been to bitch about Trump and anybody who supports him because you're a sore loser.

You said anybody involved in a civil lawsuit shouldn't be able to run. Why do I need to be a lawyer to understand the difference between a civil lawsuit and an investigation into a federal crime? It's not my fault if you can't.

Keep up the good work, your hours and hours a day of Trump rants seem to be changing a lot of minds.

That's literally what's happening right now. The legal grounds are being "explored". That's literally the point in a court case. If it turns out that the case is unwarranted, the charges can and will be thrown out. But that takes time, hence the delay. Even in trials with juries, the charges can be thrown out. Entire trials can be nullified too, though they have different terms for it (like "mistrial"). And when lawsuits are thrown out, the defendant (who is now declared innocent) can even counter sue for court costs from the accuser.

So once again, simply being on trial for something doesn't mean jack because they're innocent until proven guilty. If they were actually arrested for this, I'd be much more likely to agree with you. But clearly this isn't the case.

Not to mention that Presidents have the power of the Presidential pardon. And if the biggest corporate criminal in US history can get pardoned (Marc Rich), then I have no doubts Trump & Hillary would get pardoned too. Even Nixon got pardoned (as did the vast majority of Confederate soldiers and leaders after the Civil War).

Lets try this again shall we? There are no fraud charges, there is no fraud trial, this is in regards to a lawsuit to sue him. Prove me wrong. Post the court docket number of his felony fraud charges then I will vote for Hillary or Bernie. I won't be holding my breath I can tell you that.

PS - I read the "article" that was posted. Maybe you should work on your critical thinking skills instead of jumping on the hate wagon.

Exactly. If a civil lawsuit was a dis-qualifier anyone could sabotage any race simply by suing someone in small claims court. I could sue Hillary today for less than $5000 for emotional distress and it would only cost me $25. I could delay court proceedings well into November thus removing her from the race.

At this rate, no one would be elected because people "in the know" would be obstructionists.

So you admit he is just as bad as the one you hate so much? Or was that just snarky denial?

No, I admit this is just as bad. But Hillary never has to answer to anyone because she is the establishment pick. Trump doesn't have that luxury.

Trump is just as 'establishment'. Not sure why some people are under the delusion he isn't.
They should both be disqualified.

He isn't part of the entrenched political establishment. You know, the one that has been taking away your rights and spitting in your face all these years. But he is well connected in corporate business and economics.

For the sake of argument, Trump is the only guy available that won't double back on promises, and he won't misrepresent and spit in his constituents faces, like what we are all accustomed to presently. If he does, then it doesn't really matter and shouldn't matter to you anyways, because you will be getting more of what you have been supporting for so long while denying it is even happening.

But this doesn't matter since so many people are fully supporting a continuation of being mindless slaves to the real establishment, but then, Trump is gaining so many votes and supporters because he is campaigning against that, so maybe that is becoming less true every day.

Of course he is, hes the money behind all those corrupt politicians that people complain are bought off.....

Trump is one of the ones buying..........I dunno why people feel hes exempt somehow......

Thats like blaming the drug dealers, but then saying the head of the Drug Cartel is innocent, even though hes the one supplying the drugs

Have fun, then, with Hillary for the next eight years. People who think they've had it bad and b!tched about Obama ain't seen nothin' yet. Not saying Trump will be any better, but all Hillary's going to do is continue the Obama agenda. So in essence, we'll have a sixteen year Obama admin.

Oh my God. It's like debating with a 3 year old.

Why does it have to be Hillary OR Trump??

Now I need to go beat my head against the wall.

Hey Jackwagon, it's going to be Hillary. Book it.

NY eh... Who could have gotten that case forced into court? Oh wait, isn't Hillary a representative there? More sleepy politics at work it appears.

Cheers - Dave

Possibly but does it matter?

If its True then it indeed needs to be brought up, and addressed regardless of who instigated it.

Would you prefer that the situation with Hillary just be brushed under the carpet because it was conservatives who initiated the investigation?

Seems like a gross double standard to me

No double standard lol. Just calls 'em as I sees 'em. The question is, are the charges real or is this just a diversion created by Clinton to distract people from her own criminal activities? Personally, I would vote for a scorched earth policy when it comes to career criminals, er, I mean politicians.

Cheers - Dave

Do you know why Sanders was arrested?

Chicago policemen arrest Bernie Sanders near 73rd and Lowe on August 13, 1963.
SUN-TIMES

The untold school segregation story behind Bernie Sanders's 1963 arrest

Two weeks ago, Kartemquin Films confirmed that it had footage of the arrest of Bernie Sanders at a school segregation protest in August 1963. The Chicago Tribune subsequently uncovered from its archives a striking photo of the 21-year-old University of Chicago undergrad being carried by two police officers.

National media attention in the wake of this find focused on how these photos might affect the senator's image. But the full story of how a black Chicago neighborhood rose up to fight school segregation has gone untold in the local and national press.
