Window , when immediately followed by a period, becomes an underscore. I am told that this is because the word window , can also be used to call up certain command functions in certain types of code, and is therefore auto corrected to an underscore here as a security feature.

Whatever the case, if you do not put a period after the word window , or separate the word from the period by adding a space, it should allow you to type the word.

So it looks like the bug only happens when the word "window" is used in all lower case and has another word before or after it or if it has puncuation after it...

If the word "window" used alone with no other words or punctuation (before or after), it doesn't seem to be a problem.

Now we know how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop.

Actually, I think I read about this phenomenon on ATS a few months ago. Seems like TrueBrit is right: there is a security issue that sees a problem with a period directly after the word window.
