Active ATS roll call. Regular? reader? lurker? occasional? please post.

I have been around for some time now usually posting in Short Stories but I do post in member art and reply to others posts. I usually am on daily but miss a few days once in a while.

I was a shadowy lurker for 5 years before joining last May. I thought about taking the plunge a few years earlier, but after getting lost in a number of threads, I was kinda intimidated to join. I had never been part of a site that had so many critical thinkers. Seriously, I was impressed by the contribution of so many posters on so many threads, and didn't know if I could add anything of value. That, plus my clumsiness with computers really held me back.

I finally got over my shyness and insecurities to join. Haven't regretted it since.

I think its a healthy unhealthy sort of thing.

Never lurked.... I just come here to drunk-post.

CranialSponge's daily ritual:

- Wake up, put on my slippers, open my bedroom door and greet my patiently waiting cat.

- Go downstairs, get a fresh pot of coffee brewing, open all the blinds to let the sunshine in.

- Come back upstairs, take my first morning pee, brush my teeth, wash my face.

- Go back downstairs, grab myself a cup of joe (the coffee is ready by this time).

- Go into my office, turn on my computer, check my e-mails.

- Put my feet up on desk, light a ciggie, take a sip of coffee...

And then log in to ATS to see what's blown up in the world.



Sometimes my ATS browsing lasts an hour, sometimes it lasts a few hours... and sometimes I have to force myself to get off of ATS and go get some real world things done before all the dang stores in town close.

I wish that I could do that! I'm doing good if I make it to the bathroom in time.

I used to visit maybe a few times a month, but have been actively lurking every night for the past 6 or 7 years. I often have potentially interesting opinions about threads that I keep to myself or maybe a theory or two that never gets posted. I worry too much about what people think (even in the internet world), so I don't post. I love all things weird, scientific, and ancient. Every night I look at ATS on my phone in bed with my sweet, snoring husband next to me. Before he drifts off to sleep, he tells me, "Don't stay up too late." And I say, "I need my bedtime stories first."

I've got my morning coffee-brewing time schedule figured out down to a science !

I find it interesting that anyone with over 1000 posts is actually in the top one percent(or 1.14 to be exact) of the contributors.

This means even members who think that they do not contribute all that much are in the "elite"
