It might be interesting to read that back, but put Obama's name in there instead of Trump.

I did just that now .... *nods* checks out, seems legit.

The point is, you can say the same things about anyone. It's not changing anyone's minds. People have their "team" and are waving their ridiculous foam fingers around for their "guy".

Trump is a racist.

Islam is not a race. Neither is Muslim.

ILLEGAL immigrant is not a race either.

It is someone that thinks they are ABOVE the laws of the US of A.

LEGAL paths exist. They have for over two centuries.

So Trump critics need to start using the word 'racist' in the correct sense.

As long as I have lived suing people to get a bunch of money has been the 'American Way' for decades, but when it comes to the media, and politicians ?

There is suddenly a 'problem'.

1. YOU may find frivolous lawsuits to be the "American Way" but that doesn't make them admirable does it?
2. You missed the part where he said he would "open up libel laws" (because you know, the President can change libel laws and what we this country really need is a President who sues people for being "negative").

You're so anxious to have something to say that you're obviously not even considering how ridiculous this tripe sounds.

There's no problem when it comes to gun owners now is there?

Suddenly Trump critics 'draw' the line at 'muslims'

Gun owners constitutional rights mean exactly jacksnip to Trump critics.

1. I'm a Trump critic and I support gun ownership.
2. Again, this was about a comparison between Trump and SANDERS. IIRC, Sanders was just on the receiving end of some praise from the NRA?
3. As much as you love your guns, gun ownership isn't a religion. Any other BS comparisons you'd like to make?

I guess Trump critics IGNORE this FACT because it doesn't fit their FALSE narrative of Trump.

Drone Strikes kill innocents 90% of the time

1. Again, what does this have to do with Sanders vs Trump? Nothing.
2. You're assuming that ALL Trump critics support drone strikes.
3. You're assuming that Trump was referring to families of terrorists living in areas where drone strikes are conducted. His statements were made following the attacks in France. The family members of many of those involved live in Western countries.

What's the problem ?

Other than Trump critics having a hard time listening to the TRUTH.

Frankly, what you know about recognizing "the TRUTH" wouldn't fill one side of a post it note. That's the same disinformation that Rick Perry cited that was immediately debunked by numerous sources. Politifact, Politifact, FactCheck.org, Politifact - Texas, Dallas News.

Maybe you need to update your propaganda... errrrrr... I mean "truth?"

Have ANYTHING other than ad homenin's ?

Not an ad hominem. Any other dubious slights you'd like to melodramatically feign?

Clearly some people want to make comparisons to KILLERS. Which I did.

Which has absolutely nothing to do with my post to which you were replying. "ANYTHING other than straw men?"

Funny thing here is I don't even like Trump.

Hes' not even in my top 5 people of wanting to be president.

But I am gonna say this.

I wasn't even going to vote this year.

Now I think I will vote for Trump just out of spite.

Oh no!

Well I guess I better just stop commenting on Trump or ELSE!

lolololol

I find it odd that from the part that supposedly wants "freedom" they are all lining up behind an authoritarian? I find it puzzling to be quite frank. They want a "strong leader" -- but strong leaders equate to domination, more control and less freedom.

The dismissive attitude of education and intellectualism in this country is appalling. I see "liberal indoctrination centers" being shouted about colleges and places of learning. I see science being denied because it doesn't fit with what people WANT to believe.

I'm seeing people throw logic and common sense out the window by saying things like, "Sanders promises free stuff, yeah right nothing's free!" -- (no you moron, it's called using the tax money smarter and getting more out of it).

I'm seeing a systematic effort to say it's "OK to be ignorant" and to be proud of it. Trump himself even says he loves uneducated voters. It's as if being "smart" is something to be ashamed of, despite the fact the people we vote in have Ivy League degrees themselves. They know how to dumb down a population and know how to keep people placated. Play up big fears, throw around bombastic claims and use divisive language to garner "team spirit".

Conservatives love to mock the educated, they're taught how for years by AM radio pundits like Rush Limbaugh. Senator Warren is made fun of, being called "the professor".

What Americans rarely acknowledge is that many of their social problems are rooted in the rejection of critical thinking or, conversely, the glorification of the emotional and irrational. What else could explain the hyper-patriotism (LINK) that has many accepting an outlandish notion that America is far superior to the rest of the world? Love of one’s country is fine, but many Americans seem to honestly believe that their country both invented and perfected the idea of freedom, that the quality of life here far surpasses everywhere else in the world.

But it doesn’t. International quality of life rankings (LINK) place America far from the top, at sixteenth. America’s rates of murder and other violent crime (LINK) dwarf most of the rest of the developed world, as does its incarceration rate (LINK), while its rates of education and scientific literacy are embarrassingly low (LINK). American schools, claiming to uphold “traditional values,” avoid fact-based sex education, and thus we have the highest rates of teen pregnancy (LINK) in the industrialized world. And those rates are notably highest where so-called “biblical values” are prominent. Go outside the Bible belt, and the rates generally trend downward.

Source

You know how we can 'Make America great again' ... ?

We can make America smarter.

Calling Trump Hitler is like when a guy is losing a fight and he suddenly yells out "faggot" or some other slang term to try to emasculate his opponent. He is losing. There is nothing else to do. You are all doing nothing more than what you get upset at Trump for doing. Do we see the cycle that keeps spinning here?

Hitlers rise to power was by brute force and a willing backing party. No one is backing Trump but Palin, Christie, and a few others. This is not a power grab which is what Hitler did.

I just hope that there are more people than those who know what is happening actually watching. The MSM is making sure you hate Trump and tells you that he wants to kill terrorist families at the same time those working against him, on both sides, were bombing the hell out of Libya for what reason? I guess we were so busy worrying about the size of hands to watch what the other hand is doing.

I'm not a Trump supporter. You know me, the crazy Hillary lady. Anyway this is just more smear from the establishment trying to stop Trump. The effort to redirect enough votes to broker the convention.
Trumps true supporters are standing strong but Florida isn't a guarantee anymore with Romney now showing support for Rubio. No one is conceding which is keeping the vote split.
The party is suffering.

- Supports massive domestic surveillance programs - Looking into this one..have not heard this...

The Hill

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump on Tuesday sided with Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) over Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) on restoring surveillance measures under the Patriot Act.

"I tend to err on the side of security, I must tell you," Trump told conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt when asked about the metadata program.

- Claims he'll "open up libel laws" so that he can sue for "negative articles" and "win lots of money" - This is not something a president would do...next...

Politico

"One of the things I'm going to do if I win, and I hope we do and we're certainly leading. I'm going to open up our libel laws so when they write purposely negative and horrible and false articles, we can sue them and win lots of money. We're going to open up those libel laws. So when The New York Times writes a hit piece which is a total disgrace or when The Washington Post, which is there for other reasons, writes a hit piece, we can sue them and win money instead of having no chance of winning because they're totally protected," Trump said.

Wrong. He stated that when they are entering the country, they should be truthful and honest if they are coming from (inset ME country). You also know that ICE already had this, right? Trump just wants to fund it and make it work.

"France declared this state of emergency where they closed the borders and they established some degree of warrantless searches. I know how you feel about the borders, but do you think there is some kind of state of emergency here, and do we need warrantless searches of Muslims?" the reporter asked.

"We’re going to have to do certain things that were frankly unthinkable a year ago," Trump said.

The Yahoo reporter then asked Trump, "Do you think we might need to register Muslims in some type of database, or note their religion on their ID?"

Trump responded, "We’re going to have to look at a lot of things very closely. We’re going to have to look at the mosques. We’re going to have to look very, very carefully."

The next day, an MSNBC reporter asked Trump, "Should there be a database or system that tracks Muslims in this country?"

"There should be a lot of systems," Trump responded. "Beyond databases. I mean, we should have a lot of systems."

Trump doesn't like giving straight answers of course. It's possible that he repeatedly misunderstands every question asked of him but how many of these mulligans does one guy get?

- Encourages supporters to physically assault protesters - Did he say kick their ass? Did he say kick them to the ground and stomp them like the dark skins they are???? Nope, I think he old them to 'get them out of here" and how in the 'old days' things would be different...

Right, it's completely unfair that he should be criticized because he shouts "get em out of here" and the like and his supporters assault people while he laments that they can't do more damage. Did once say, "whoa guys, leave that to the security" or "hey now, let's not get too carried" or ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING that could even REMOTELY interpreted as anything other than tacit approval?

You know what...they would. What was wrong with civility. A protester is not civil so what gives them the ability to expect to be treated in any way other than the person/activity being protested ?

You're right, protesting is exactly the same thing as assault. Remember that next time you're annoying somebody and they put their hands on your person.

The US is killing the only chance to beat HIllary in 16. Someone who would create a fantastic cabinet of people that he can dictate to..like a president. Not a EO signing non-transparent admin.

Here you go talking about EO's yet you support a guy who keeps making statements about how he's going to do things that you know for a fact a President doesn't have the power to do — a few of which I just named — but to that list, lets add "build a wall" "make the wall 10 feet higher" and "make Mexico pay for it."

Authoritarian?

I find the progressive agenda to be about as authoritarian as you can get. You have to actually plan out your own words just so you don't offend someone by mistake these days. That's about as enslaved as you can get. There are lessons being dished out now on extremes like gender pronouns. It's utter nonsense, but the progressives want to control every part of your life down to how you speak.

I really think you are confusing common sense with authoritarian. Trump is picking up support because there are enough people to create a movement, as he puts it, against the complete mess of society the progressives have made.

And I'm pretty sure Sig Heil was arm fully extended 30degrees, fingers extended and straight. I've seen the news reels from the day.
Donald is gesticulating a common oath posture like swearing on the bible in court or opening a Boy Scouts of America den meeting.
When I signed up at Hillary's website they asked the same thing. Will I support Hillary in the election. This was just before the Virginia primary. What's the big deal? It's not like a contract. What happens if you change your vote? They take away your voter registration card? The election police arrest you?
No this is just a rally for support . A way to excite the crowd and bring them together. A pep rally if you will.

Don't you dare talk about boy scouts. Don't you know how racist they are?! Trump should disavow them immediately or he is a racist - and he has to do it in a way that is aggressive enough and proves to me he REALLY means it, otherwise he is still a racist.

Nazis and fascists are easy terms to throe out in an attempt to smear your opponents in modern politics. It works because The Political Compass generally rates fascists as in the economic center, well to the left of today's right-wing politicians but well to the right of socialist figures. So in other words people will always be able to make correlations no matter which side or the spectrum they fall on.

Now sadly today often when people can't argue policy they resort to name calling. So brandishing someone with Nazi is just a sad attempt to avoid the issues involved.

people have said the same about Bush and Obama and they have said worse about Hilary. I personally have learned not to use the words Nazi or hitler to describe trump, there is enough ammo to describe him without having to use that comparison.

That's exactly the reason why—it's easy. But when pressed about it, you can see how far people are willing to stretch and reach to shoehorn their false equivalencies, false analogies and their irrelevant conclusions into reality. Comparing Trump to Hitler is an appeal to emotion and pity, the evidence for which is entirely specious and cringe-worthy.

Either there is a fine line between stupidity and paranoia, or perhaps in this case, they are one and the same.

Medgar Evers' brother endorsed Trump this week.

"I believe in him first of all because he's a businessman," said Charles Evers, Medgar's 93-year-old brother. "I think jobs are badly needed in Mississippi."

These kind of endorsements are REAL endorsements, not fake politically driven ones by governors, donors or senators.
