Police video shows Illinois woman driving with tree stuck in her car

I guess this would go under 'things you don't see every day'. Apparently, the woman had been driving for about 10 minutes after she hit the tree. I guess she didn't want to leave any evidence behind.

A few weeks ago, a Roselle police officer saw a car driving southbound on Roselle Road with a 15-foot tree embedded in the front grill of the car. After stopping the driver, he also noticed the airbags had been deployed (apparently from hitting the tree). After an investigation, the Roselle officer arrested the driver for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.

I'm sure she was just trying to save the trees life. She would have replanted it once she got home.
She's lucky the real police found her before Home Depot's Garden Agents got a hold of her. They don't like when people try to get around their monopoly on trees for sale.

I wonder if this one should be over in the humor forum. This gal is a real winner and the judge may decide she needs some serious jail time. I've seen drivers do stupid things but this gal gets the stupid award for the month. I wonder if the owner of the tree wants it back after she took it or wants her charged with felony theft of the tree. My best,

Alcohol is one hell of a drug. She must have been black out drunk, which by the way makes you into an instinctive animal without the ability to make conscious decisions.

She probably woke up in the drunk tank and didn't even realize what happened.

I know. the fact the car was driveable is pretty amazing.

Just for perspective, I looked up Schaumburg and Roselle. This happened just west of Chicago.

Officer; "M'am would you mind explaining how you junked that TRUNK?"

Lady "LEAF me alone, I've done nothing wrong"

Officer "It appears you have commited TREE-son"

Lady "I want to speak to my Lawyer to get to the ROOT of the problem"

Officer "M'am I am going to need to take you to the local BRANCH to answer some questions"




It's like the joke that keeps on giving.

That tree is surprisingly big in my option. Looks a lot bigger then the tree that Paul Walker hit and it killed him.
