It isn't about the pledge... it is about having a crowd of people raising their right hand to swear allegiance. Both pledges are dumb, but the way Trump did his is what people are looking at and going wtf. Either no one told him that it would look bad or he just didn't care because it was his idea.

Isn't it fascinating that you can take the Quran, the cornerstone of Islam, the mandatory law of an entire faith, which is filled with commands to kill the infidels, take child brides, and wage wars, but God help you if you question the adherence of it's disciples. Anyone who raises the alarm over the contents of that book, which is considered by their whole religion to be the guidebook of every minute of every day, is shot down as a radical bigot...

But goddamn you to hell if you've read what is widely considered one of the most historically significant books written in the last 100 years, studied by millions of scholars, politicians, and authors over that period... particularly among people who have been sharply critical of the messages contained within the book.

I've read Mein Kampf. I've read the Satanic Bible. I've read the Quran. I've read the Catcher in the Rye. I've read the Anarchist's Cookbook. I've read the Communist Manifesto. I've read the Origin of Species. I've read the Satanic Verses. Curiously, I'm not a Nazi, Satanist, Muslim, killer, bombmaker, commie, evolutionist, dictator. In fact, I find it incredibly humorous to see people who are scared of books and the people who have read them. Never trust a person who is threatened by knowledge or attempts to use books read by another as a weapon. Those threatened saps are brainwashed tools, regurgitating the fears of their masters because they know no better.

Or just maybe - though a long shot i know - he just did it spontaneously and thought asking people to pledge their vote with a show of hands was ok. I am sure he didn't realise the frothing at the mouth , waiting to be offended, extremists and lunatics in society would assume he was building concentration camps to kill millions.

No, sorry, you are quite clearly a fascist, devil worshipping, terrorising, communist, anarchist, anti-christ. Have you not received the approved book list from the left? Why have you not burned all the other books not on that list?

I am shocked at your racism. It's clear you want to commit genocide.

Who gas publicly stated they look up to mao?

Anita Dunn just to name one.
There have been others, and some who work for Obama have stated that they look up to Marx as well.

Barack Obama, terrorist Bill Ayers and Maoist hardliner Mike Klonsky worked together in the same office building on the same floor for several years. Birds of a feather FLOCK together

So you named one, good job. Then you just repeat that others have... Strange. Well I guess Trump is just as bad as them just admiring other other people.

And save the bill and obama stuff, so old and played out.

Frothing at the the mouth? A high school kid could see this is a bad idea. Not offended by it personally, I have heard some holocaust survivers are, doubt they were just waiting to be offended. In fact that is all I have seen about people being offended by it. That is just a word used these days to try and diminish people when they call you out. I don't care it if was spontaneous, if anything that just shows that he doesn't think before he does something, hardly a presidential quality.

You just stepped in your own mess. Now go study up on who the one I mentioned, husband is, and you will discover someone very high up on Obama's list of trusted and crooked enablers.

You remind me of Hillary Clinton. Never able to take it and deal with anything with responsibility and own up to things, always making excuses, whining like sour grapes, and stamping your foot when you are wrong and can't own up to it.

Mien fur hair.

America is a dying empire breathing it's last breath. Trump's rise is a symptom of the fall, but not the cause.

I feel sorry for those of you living in America, the bit that comes next isn't going to be pretty or painless. The Roman empire lasted nearly 450 years, its spiritual successor is tearing itself apart is way less time than that.

It was funny for a while, but it's not anymore.

HAHA...

You asked for one name. You didn't expect to get even one name, because you don't like admitting these things because they usually condemn the one you support.
You already know there are many more, and even if I wanted to spend the time to "inform" you, it would still be met with resistance and denial..

Am I right?
You know I am.. It's okay, everyone knows

the hill In a pledge off allegiance style chant, Trump had rally goers swear they would vote for him. I knew it was only a matter of time, seeing all of those hands go up was pretty frightening. I am guessing that even this is mot enough to sway his supporters.

You do know the so called "NAZI" salute was used in all American schools until about 1942?

Also I saw the vedio it was not a "salute" anyway. They rasied their hands. So does that mean mean every time someone raises their hand to vote they are Nazi's?

The Dems are much closer to Nazi's then anybody on the GOP side. Herr Goebbels would be proud of how they handle the MSM.

You also know that the Nazi's where left wing also? National SOCIALIST German Workers Party. (NSDAP)

You know the Nazi's where also all about gun control. They pushed for some of the strictest gun control laws of the time.

They also believed in universal health care.

Then of course they used any means available to drive their agenda home.

Sounds more and more like the Liberals and the Dems then it does any GOP.

No the people offended by this are not all holocaust survivors.
There are in fact many that seem to manufacture a way to get offended. It's a joke. This incident is laughable. He asked his audience to raise their hands.

So the politicians have introduced pinky swears and over your death mother swears into the contests. Even more like recess at junior high. Maybe double and triple dog dares can be used to actually get this people to do some meaningful work.

The word of many people in society today isn't worth a thing and these political oaths are worth even less.

Are there going to be people who will feel guilty if they don't vote Trump after that pledge? I suppose that is what he is hoping to find.

I've seen 2 clips of Trump having the adulating crowd raise their hands and swear an oath/pledge, and though I already knew him to be a demagogue, this was the icing on the cake. Pretty damn weird.

Maybe the only weird thing here is all the association to Hitler that Trumps' enemies and detractors are trying to make stick.
Doesn't seem to be working - people are still voting Trump...

It would be a good social study into the minds of people who try to get their own way by smearing others.

True, but the conclusions we can draw from this behavior are many. Yes, many voters are sick and tired of the way government is being run. Yes, this is essentially the same sentiment that brought the Tea Party. Yes, Trump knows how to work a crowd. Yes the Know Nothing sentiment from the last century has raised its head again. Yes, Trump plays emotions over intellect.

And on and on.

OK watch this video.

You have two valid options:
1) watch it and you realise how stupid this whole Nazi salute thing is - congrats you are normal.
2) watch it and if you see Nazi salutes and a scary moments, seek help from a shrink.
