*double face-palm* Ok Ketsuko. Like NEO and I in this thread you and I are done in this thread until you're ready to behave maturely. We're not going to play the game where you selectively read my posts and then reply to the tidbits you think you'll be able to sound condescending on and ignore the rest. If you had read my posts you'd know that I was the first Sanders supporter in this thread to identify it as a GAFFE. And considering the MSM completely ignored it and Bernie's supporters were listening to what he said and agreeing with him I don't really see any problem. He blew Hillary's DOORS off during that debate and Michigan is going to be so so much fun.

i watched it again in context. its an overgeneralization really. like i could say, christians dont have any idea what its like to be disowned by their friends and families when they come out atheist.

it doesnt mean no christians have ever been disowned. in context he's saying most ghettos are a black culture problem, not a white culture problem. does that mean no one white has ever lived in a ghetto? nope. at first i thought he was saying no white person has ever been poor, but in context, he's making sense, but he could have worded it a little better. this is one of those sound bite hit pieces.

I will be happy for Sanders if he takes away Billary's momentum, I can not stand Billary at all.

Sanders to me seems harmless compare to the hag.

He better have none, as he proposed a bill to stop off shore bank accounts for corporations in 2015.

We both know politicians have a propensity to say one thing, and do another.

Anyhow rules are for the little people.

Not the likes of the Clintons and Sanders.

There's nothing for white people to feel guilty about unless it's contributing to the status quo as far as systemic racism is concerned.

You don't feel guilty... cool. No one asked you to but don't pretend that this is pandering when it's been part of Bernies speeches since the 60's.

You can disagree with Bernie on his stance but you can't, legitimately (not that that ever stopped you before), call it pandering.

this thread should be shut down, bernies words got taken completely out of context

he was speaking about a conversation he had with a blm supporter who told him...

"You don't understand the degree to which we are terrorized. ... I'm just talking about everyday activities where police officers are bullying people," Sanders recounted the woman telling him.

"When you're white, you don't know what it's like to be living in a ghetto," Sanders concluded. "You don't know what it's like to be poor. You don't know what it's like to be hassled when you walk down the street or you get dragged out of a car. And I believe that as a nation in the year 2016, we must be firm in making it clear, we will end institutional racism and reform a broken criminal justice system."

BOTH Party's know that the best way to control us is to keep us at each others throats and it works. It will always work as even when people know it's being done to them they join in.

It's called identity politics.

The entire practical aim is just that.

To keep us fighting between ourselves. Racism, and class warfare are especially effective.

The only solution I can see, is for serious third party candidates with a following to take power. To do that they would need to get in even before the D's & R's get going in an election cycle. Take the power away and change the dialogue.

I can't see that happening as it is though. We humans are too easily led by our noses using emotion as a tool to control us.

That's right I don't.

But I will say this.

I am sick and tired of being called 'racist' EVERY single day for the last EIGHT YEARS.

Yeah I Can call it pandering.

Hell read his own website QUOTED AGAIN.

We must pursue policies to transform this country into a nation that affirms the value of its people of color. That starts with addressing the five central types of violence waged against black, brown and indigenous Americans: physical, political, legal, economic and environmental.

Perpetrated by the State Sandra Bland, Michael Brown, Rekia Boyd, Eric Garner, Walter Scott, Freddie Gray, Jessica Hernandez, Tamir Rice, Jonathan Ferrell, Oscar Grant, Antonio Zambrano-Montes, Samuel DuBose and Anastacio Hernandez-Rojas. We know their names. Each of them died unarmed at the hands of police officers or in police custody. The chants are growing louder. People are angry and they have a right to be angry. We should not fool ourselves into thinking that this violence only affects those whose names have appeared on TV or in the newspaper. African-Americans are twice as likely to be arrested and almost four times as likely to experience the use of force during encounters with the police. African-American and Latinos comprise well over half of all prisoners, even though African-Americans and Latinos make up approximately one quarter of the total US population.

Perpetrated by Extremists We are far from eradicating racism in this country. Today in America, if you are black, you can be killed for getting a pack of Skittles during a basketball game. Or murdered in your church while you are praying. This violence fills us with outrage, disgust and a deep, deep sadness. These hateful acts of violence amount to acts of terror. They are perpetrated by extremists who want to intimidate and terrorize black, brown and indigenous people in this country.

Hell why doesn't Sanders wear a hoodie. I love it when a WHITE guy talks about racism, and Martin Zimmerman.

When Sanders clearly does not give an EFF, but using events like those to push his AGENDA.

And again he 'skillfull'y tied all together under his socialist badge.

The ONLY words that come out of Sanders mouth is PROPAGANDA.

“The most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly - it must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over”

thinkexist.com...

Sanders supporters are taking Sanders opinions as 'facts' because they already have the same OPINIONS themselves.

We are a nation for of, and by OPINION, and some people want legislation based on nothing, but opinion, and leaders elected based on, but OPINION.

I don't especially so when some people are under the delusion we are a 'democracy' which is nothing more than mob rule.

Which basically brings us to what ever the mob thinks is just is just an OPINION. Which is the last refuge of the damned.

First and foremost I'm both a Sanders supporter as well as a Trump supporter and practically anyone who isn't propped up by the establishment.

Your really don't know how to spot establishment, do you? No offense meant, but to assume that ANY politician would be given as much media attention as Sanders and Trump have received somehow shows how you've missed the importance of who controls the media.

The media is nothing more than a propaganda arm of the gov't. Given that, Sanders and Trump getting air time in the media means one thing - they are establishment!!!!!

I don't see a third party solution.

The problem is with people using the moniker's of Republican, and Democrat, and Liberal, and Conservative.

Having no idea of what the words mean.

The popular vote only works by majority, and minority.

The electoral progress and delegates wouldn't work either.

In my opinion. The people must change themselves first, and foremost. Before Washington can ever change.

Washington is a reflection of 'we the people', and yes it truly is not a pretty sight to behold.

So opinions are 'ethical' eh.

That was rich.

They're clearly not or theywould not have been tempered with the constitution, and Bill of Rights.

Pretty much since Sanders party has been telling them how they are 'oppressed', and after 50 years of voting for the blues.

They STILL are oppressed.

Rinse, and Repeat for another 50.

"when you're a politician you don't know what it's like to be working class (of any race)".
Open mouth - insert foot.
I thought Sanders was smarter than this.
After his "let's get rid of all guns not used for hunting" I'd say his ship is sinking fast.
Nice try Bernie but NO WAY are they going to let THEIR candidate not get the nod.
Hillary is the banker's dictator of choice.

the constitution was formed by opinion. its the same reason we had slavery for so long and why it was abolished. the opinion of the people matter very much in one way or another. but i can see my comment went right over your head.

on this particular topic about ghettos being a black people problem and not a white people problem, i agree with him. you dont, its your opinion, but its not a popular one.

Funny that people think slavery was abolished.

Cotton,Tobacco, etc was just replaced by the VOTE.

In the delusional world of socialism, Everyone becomes slaves of the state.

Feeding us,clothing us 'educating' us. With the Master(The State) telling us what we can have, and can't). What get get to do, and what we don't..
