The water level in Virginia wells fluctuated by roughly 1 meter after the Asian Quake in Dec. 04. Reserchers say this was directly related to the 9.0 quake.

The South Asian earthquake that spawned deadly tsunami waves also shifted water levels by at least 3 feet in a geologically sensitive Virginia well some 9,600 miles away from the epicenter, researchers say.

It has been theorized that water injected into fault-lines, lubricate and can set off seismic activity.
Question: With such a huge movement of ground water, is it possible that this water has lubricated other major faults and is setting the trigger for more earthquakes?
