American Police Start Pushing to Weaponize Domestic Drones

As FOX 61 reported, bills currently being considered would both restrict drone use and classify arming them with any weapons — such as firearms or flamethrowers — as a Class C felony. Employing drones to set off explosives, deadly weapons, tear gas, and the like would be punishable by ten years in prison — and at the moment, that would include law enforcement. As written, the bill would require law enforcement to procure a warrant prior to using a drone for any reason.

The article continues with that Connecticut legislators seem to be taking practically the opposite route of those in North Dakota.

However, the concern is it might turn into a situation as seen and as discussed on the site and in the media, last summer North Dakota became the first state to grant police with the use of drones having "less than lethal" weaponry. That was until the bill, which initially banned these weapons on drones, that was changed by a police lobby.

Also, See the Fox61 article and video: Source

"We are concerned that there could be misuse, particularly on vulnerable communities," David McGuire of the ACLU said at the hearing.

No one should be surprised. The technology of war always seems to end up being used on the streets of the U.S.

Ah yes, the second round of Bolshevism...disarm the threat and threaten the disarmed.

Unfortunately, the Right to Bear Arms can be a tool for either side.

We be fu(ked...

Yeah, Armed Drones. Great.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

it is so less personal if someone is killed or tazed by a drone instead of a person on recordings. Also so many ways to excuse "oops didn't mean to kill him, malfunction, pilot error, my bad, suspend me" attitude.

Anyone want to place bets that they will soon classify these as they do Police K-9s? (Assaulting a drone will be "assault on an officer" and disabling one... well, you get the idea.

Hell no.

Drones for domestic use are ridiculous. Heck, we shouldn't be killing people in the ME with the either, but that is another thread.

What happens when these things become autonomous?
Biometrical data fed to the drones as who to target using facial recognition or the RFID chips implanted into all future humans?
There will be zero need for Armies,Navies or Air Forces when these things are evolved 20 years from now, there will be some bureaucrat making decisions who to kill and why or worse yet a Planetary system whereby all of humanities data is accessed by a super computer deciding who should live or die according to it's programs and under a Totalitarian state or a Globalist tyranny would be the most insidious invention ever.

American Police Start Pushing to Weaponize Domestic Drones. Of course they will, blind Freddy would see that happening.

The same blind Freddy can they were always going to ban the population from having drones too for all intends and purposes.

It happens because too many people just shrug their shoulders and the young don't give a bugger anyway?

I've already noticed that in the US the education system is teaching he kids that rights of the individual must be subservient to the rights of the community (read the masses of no bodies)

Surely everyone can so that this will result in rights for no one accept the rich and powerful.

it only takes one generation to believe this sort of crap before they will also believe the next person is a terro if they even promote the view that individuals were born with unalienable rights to right, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

It only takes the media to train one generation to believe that they are not free, sovereign individual human beings and that generation will believe that any one who even whispers to a another ember of that generation that we are all sovereign human beings and they will cast that person down into hell for being a terrorist.

Makes one wonder was it really designed with the military in mind or the public?
The potential for abuse of drones is beyond staggering; the myriad applications they can employ; the various sizes from aircraft sized drones with machine guns and missiles all the way down to fake insects with cameras and microphones or maybe tranquilizer tipped needles? It's a mad scientists dream field.

Just think of all the applications they can utilize - facial recognition, DNA sampling, chemical testing, night and thermal vision. No place will be safe from these things. Truly the scariest technology to come down the pipe since atomic power.

They WILL be banned for the public, but in the end they will NOT be banned for the citizen harassment squad known as the authorities.

Just wait and see.

Sounds eerily like Sky Net. I recall there was a Senator from Kentucky that
tried to defend Americans and callattention to this looming threat
on the floor of the Senate, he filibustered for as long as he could talk.

Guess he was right, too bad some people can not seem to make the
connection ....lawless lawmakers will use this on the American people
eventually and will watch from a protected perch in a white house.
