I take full responsibility. I was fooled by conservatism most of my life. I voted for Ronald Reagan, the downfall of the working/middle class.

Well, don't get fooled again then. The New Conservatives are the New leftists.

It would be more accurate to say the New Conservative and the Neo Liberals are Globalists rather than leftists
That is really where both parties are ultimately the same.

It is Globalists VS Pro Americans and the majority of Politicians are the Globalist Elite.
I would like to see this go viral where politicians are not labeled left or right by the masses but Globalists or Pro Americans because that would send the cockroaches at the CFR and various Think Tanks in a Frenzy on how to handle it.

Vietnam ended when I was 15,I had been reading UFO books and more since 10.
I remember it in a visceral fashion mostly.Scum spitting on their defenders, the Watts riots Dr.King and his call for unity which they plugged him for.

The Vietnam war pushed by the Council on Foreign Relations and other Globalists Think Tanks was a mistake anyways because it had not a dam thing to do with defending this country in accordance with the Constitution but defending the globalists interests. Same as it is today with Iraq, Syria and Iran because they will not play ball with the Globalists. They steal tax payers money to protect their Globalists Utopia which goes beyond National Defense. Tax Payers should not be on the hook to protect Global Corporate Interests especially when they sold us out

To get around with the displeasure by the masses for the Vietnam, they changed to an all volunteer force and created catchy slogans like support the troops (I was in the military as well)

So, they have played a gotcha mind game with the citizens where you are not allowed to criticize war policies or protests against it because you will be offending the troops.

They say if you have a problem with the policies, point to the politicians not the soldiers.
How do we voice our displeasure via protests and the media when we disagree with their wars then without offending the troops?
You see what I mean?

The Political Elite want their filthy agendas to pass regardless of what the population wants.

Actually Vietnam was a french colony and they were about to lose it so they made a deal.
Yes our propaganda was all coldwar 1 stuff, making cold war II really easy to see for what it is.
The time of protests and lawsuits are over .they've passed laws isolating themselves from blame or harm.
As a former scout myself,I DO believe YOU would fully KNOW my suggestion for a fix.

One thing this article suggests is true. That is the betrayal of Obama and the fact that Hillary has about as much enthusiasm behind her candidacy as a john does for a hooker with the clap.

Obama has run the Liberal ideal into the ground. At least he could have fought for the ideal of progressive liberalism and maybe went down fighting but this fraud just idled along on Jayz and Beyonce concerts at the White House and playing golf.

Obama just enjoyed the perks of the presidency and did NOTHING to further the progressive cause.

As well let all the crooks get away with economic mass murder on the American people.

So Hillary is left with the crumbs of liberalism that Obama wasted.

So Trump comes along with some native truths about economics that the corporate liberals like Obama have been hiding from the American people that these policies (trade and the lost of jobs are connected) and spills the beans.

Trade is the way the liberals have used to choke the economic growth of the lower classes. They serve the elite that way...

Of course the republicans openly swindle the working people and don’t have to hide since they use the wedge issues of race and class idealization to keep their votes coming in.

The liberals do it surreptitiously through the trade deals whose economic destruction are indirect and hidden.

That pretty much sums it up. But how does someone like you, or a nice guy like Ben Carson or Bernie, become leaders under the current system? What would you change to make it easier for the common person to run for office. Even locally, it takes a rich person. Maybe it always has.

I have no idea

Maybe through legislation that makes elections free of all outside money and have them financed by tax money

Though many would think that unconstitutional

This election process is a mess.

2 years of this is enough

Congress has no will to do anything for the benefit of americans. Obstruct is all we get, even when it comes to drinking water.

ETA Which as I understand from some posters here, that is what they were hired for. Depressing.

I think that Americans saw in Obama what they wanted to see when he was elected. There was that satiric New Yorker mag cover

Michelle Obama as a revolutionary in military fatigues, packing AK-47 and ammo; her husband dressed like the Muslim he is stubbornly accused of being. Both of them stand in the Oval Office, with a portrait of Osama bin Laden behind them over a fireplace, in which an American flag burns.
. Obama was called everything from Far-Left to Far-Right, and everything in between. The truth is something else, as he and some Republicans have said,

"The truth of the matter is that my policies are so mainstream that if I had set the same policies that I had back in the 1980s, I would be considered a moderate Republican"

He staved off the worst of (fringe) right-wing ideas, but he has not governed as a Progessive. Because our political system has drifted so far to the right the last few decades, much of our current thinking is distorted. What does need to happen is for both Leftists (Sanders) and Liberals (Clinton) to work together to push back on the Republican right that is determined to undo nearly everything liberals and leftists have achieved.

WHO WANTS to hang with sociopaths?

posted on Mar, 6 2016 @ 06:38 PM
That article was complete dribble.

The masses are 'rising up' to support 'outsider' candidates, because that is exactly what the desire is by the social engineers.

The propaganda media, for years now, has been imprinting on the masses, that they should be angry. If the masses truly heard the truth, they wouldn't be angry, they would know the true meaning of fear.

A system based on infinite growth, on a finite planet, cannot sustain itself. That is a given, we no longer live in a capitalist society, capitalism takes the booms with the busts; a capitalist society does not embrace corporate bailouts or corporate protectionism.

To delay the process of collapse of this system of infinite growth, it is necessary for expansionary warfare over dwindling resources. Spreading democracy and humanitarian interventions are doublespeak terms for maintaining domination of resources to ensure the 'American' way of life.

No matter what, the system will collapse, and the elite know this fact. A transitional system is being implemented, one of total control. Thanks to the advent of technology, it is not only probable, it is a certainty. A Global Scientific Dictatorship, every aspect of human life monitored and controlled.

The road to the new system, will be a very painful one. We have seen the slow erosion of civil liberties, when the collapse does occur, the establishment will be prepared to quell any and all civil unrest.

I could very well see a Trump presidency, I know the next target for 'American freedom' is Iran, and it would be hard for a fluffy democrat to sell that one. The Third World War has already begun, the West has been encroaching and encircling the East. When this war goes hot, we will see the level of technology skyrocket, and the victor will gain the world, with the technology to control every square inch of it.

Our best option, is a devastating nuclear war, to send us back into the stone age.

Anyways, the masses are angry, not because they feel left out of the system, but because that is what the system is telling them they feel.

I agree the article is overdone.

The writer is a progressive who has a hatred for what he thinks are weakling liberals.

Like right wingers hat the not extreme enough republicans he hates the not extreme enough liberals.

He’s letting emotionalism cloud his reason
Not a good thing for analytical politics

In any case, you’re post is interesting because of this sentence: “A system based on infinite growth, on a finite planet, cannot sustain itself.”

You have hit the sore spot!

It’s all based on that…

The, as you call them “ social engineers” a few decades ago planned for austerity’s beginning with the CLUB OF Rome’s analysis of “ Limits to Growth”

The Club of Rome is one of the most powerful think tanks in the world.
Not anyone can be a member of the Club of Rome…only elite experts in and out of high government and quasi government and educational institutions of a high caliber are let in

The elite have adapted this premise of limited growth so it may be some altruistic, or wisdom philosophy they are following, or merely their opinion that they think is scientific based, that is above and beyond our understanding.

That may be, I’m not omniscient, but I am skeptical.

Anyway the way you used that phrase tells me you may have been initiated

I myself have not been initiated into that at least, but I do--because of personal experience with them--keep an eye on them, very, very closely.

The only caveat is that nature provides a check and balance to population. Technology has offset that balance, so humans will either have to be more proactive in maintaining global population levels at half a billion, or wait and see what nature will do; which could mean extinction. Whether we like it or not, there is a culling on the way, a big one; and the world will enter into a new age.

I'm not an 'Initiate', haven't really researched the Club of Rome. On the surface, it seems we share similar goals, will have to look more into this organization.

I have nothing against education per se, but colleges now? Nope. Over several years, they become not a place of education, but indoctrination. Where they are taught not how to think, but what to think. And they swallow it hook, line and sinker.
If you want to follow Liberal leanings, be my guest. But, don't for a minute think it gives you the right to look down on me and tell me how to live my life or that I'm somehow doing it wrong.
And I got bad news for ya, the parroting is not one sided. Most college kids they asked couldn't even tell them what a Socialist was, much less why they wanted to vote for one. They just heard snippets and started parroting those as some sort of mantra for "Feeling the Bern".
Education is great, as long as you actually use it to make up your own mind and not let some Professor warp it with his own ideas.

Getting to stay in school, with Mommy and Daddy paying the bills, to get an "education" that tells them Mommy and Daddy are sh**. They get to hide in their "safe places" where no one is allowed to speak against their idea because it may hurt their feelings and traumatize the little snow flakes.

I joined the Army after high school to get the college fund. Wound up getting a degree, and a masters on a scholarship, because of my grades. I worked 3 jobs during those years, got up at 5 am and did not get home till midnight. Stayed in the RA and reserves for 15 years.

Please be careful when you get anti-education or anti-intellectual. I think I know how the wind blows, and have been deployed on 4 continents. Don't get mad at folks who work hard to get an education and try to get ahead in life.

I don't believe in a "lower class." But I have seen plenty of folks who did not try when they were young and are paying for it as they get older. You are on ATS because you want to know and share with others. Good for you.

But I despise folks who throw rocks at people who try to make themselves better through hard work. Not everyone who has a higher education is a snotty nosed brat.

Sigh. Didn't I just say I have nothing against education? Did I not say "self proclaimed" intellectuals? As in those who, just because they went to college, believe they are better than everyone else, when all they done is go to college, with no real world experience to temper their "holier than thou" attitude?

He was also responsible for our first boon doggle in Afghanistan where we armed Islamic Fighters.

Actually a guy named Charlie Wilson was. Democrat.

Hollywood made him famous.

Operation Cyclone was his baby.

Wilson is best known for leading Congress into supporting Operation Cyclone, the largest-ever Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) covert operation which, under the Carter and Reagan administration, supplied military equipment including anti-aircraft weapons such as obsolete FIM-43 Redeye MANPADS surface-to-air antiaircraft missiles and paramilitary officers from their Special Activities Division to the Afghan Mujahideen during the Soviet war in Afghanistan

Charlie Wilsons War

Began under CARTER.

I am so tired, tired spiritually and emotionally of it all. I know I am not the only one. Bernie and Trump are manifestations of the people's discontent with the system. I am so sick of being labeled. We label everything. We sit back and critique and criticize while we do.... nothing. Our country is dying. I can't even let my children watch american cartoons anymore, it is THAT bad.

the whole world sees us for what we are. They see our government for what it does and what it destroys. I think it has come to the point that even with choices that maybe aren't that great, so long as they are anti establishment we flock to them en mass.

We are the ones keeping this system going, so many of us are disillusioned groups do rash things like taking over nature reserves. Things here have degraded so badly that the people, the collective consciousness of America is starting to wake up and lash back. We have to fix this and the only way we can is to DO SOMETHING. we have to change our government before it devours us all. I love the term "unwashed masses".

It makes me chuckle. we unwashed masses keep your computers running. We grow the crops that feed your family. We build the things you use to make your everyday life that much more enjoyable yet we are racist, sexist, ignorant fools who don't matter until we begin washing over the system with waves of change. Then we are relevant because we are "so backwards" we will "make it worse".

It's already worse. Our course is unsustainable. I walk down the halls of my work everyday and see people of every race color and creed and i do not judge them. they do not judge me. we speak kindly we say "hello" "how are you today" "hey how's it goin!" yet if you watch any of the divisive junk on tv you would think we walk the halls glaring waiting for a turned back so we can beat the person because of their skin color, shoot them because we are rednecks. This is not how it is. WE the UNWASHED MASSES are not just the cogs in the machine, we ARE the machine. we make it work, we maintenance it, if care for it and for our troubles we have had an establishment destroy us, rob us, degrade us everyday in pop culture news and tv. destroy our foreign relationships, give away our nation to unaccountable corporations whom then pay lobbyists to pay off and bribe those supposedly representing us.

I think we could bounce straight into fascism. But if we do it is because we were handed the ultimate betrayal by a system that is already cannibalizing us. Not because we are the problem, because THEY are the problem.

My favorite post of the month so far

Love the passion, keep that fire burning.

The people's time will come. It won't be soon because they refuse to cooperate to jail and exile politicians, bankers, government crooks etc...

But it will happen when the corruption consumes it's own people, then devours itself. Only the people can save what was once "The United States of America".

If not, who or what will put the dagger in the beasts heart? Kim Yung? Nah probably Hilary Clinton.

After the death of corruption, The unwashed masses can rebuild and rejoice.. makes a good novel at least
