This democrat was never for any of it. I'm still not.

I'm not talking about voters.

I'm talking about Democrat politicians and officials.

And the Europe we left is not anything like the Europe of today.

No it isn't.

Altogether there are six European nations whose debts are larger than their economic output, and 16 that have debts larger than the 60%-of-GDP limit set out in the Maastricht Treaty.

What happens if you get cancer?

The same thing that happens if I don't get cancer - I eventually die, either way.

That fabulous DELUSION of universal 'healthcare'!

As it stands right now the US government is the largest healthcare insurer in the country today.

There is no single 'private' corporation that has over 100 million people on their rolls,

Medicare, and Medicaid, and Tricare are currently costing us over $1 trillion per YEAR.

Ya know those programs where everyone is using it, hardly ANYONE is paying for it. Which is why there are NEW TAXES to pay for it.

That's how Universal healthcare works.

I do not see how anyone would support the STATE creating a super monopoly on a CORPORATE product.

Anyone who wants 'universal' healthcare deserves the Darwin award.

you miss the point. People just want to be able to live, and ease their pain and not die. That's the only reason people like ObamaCare, medicaid, medicare or Universal Healthcare. It keeps people out of pain and alive.

Yeah, but that won't make America Great again! We need a military so big that no one will mess with us!

I wonder why the welfare industrial complex eclipses defense spending.

Why would anyone mess with us?

After all government feeds us,clothe's us, and 'educate's us.

There's a word for that.

Slavery.

Well *of course* he is.

All by self proclamation and a few supporters.

What point ?

Life ain't ever meant to be easy.

Some people need to wrap their socialist little heads around that.

You're only problem here is what do you do with those that can't help themselves? Let them die, appears to be your answer?

If i had a nickle every time i heard that hyperbole.

Why yes 'caring' about their fellow man means outsourcing it to the state, and uses bold face 'benevolent' authoritarianism.

So what is your stance on those that can't afford healthcare and have no family to support them? Seriously.

That Healthcare program is one big scam to make immense profits for the insurrance agencies. Here in the Netherlands the Healthcare insurrance agencies were warned by the government to do something with their money... they had too much money horded. Can you believe it...?

My stance is people need to stop whining about it because the EMTLA exists.

And MEDICAID exists.

And every job I have had in 45 YEARS has offered it.

Health insurance has never been an issue.

Well then why is it the politicians making that corporate product 'mandatory' ?

They did it for homes.

They did it for cars.

They are trying to do it for GUNZ.

And for the last 30 years they have been trying it with health insurance.

Scam ?

Yeah for politicians.

That's not true though.

Here's on study from Harvard claiming over 40 thousand deaths per year due to lack of adequate health insurance back in 2009

news.harvard.edu...

And here's a bigger issue...Showng that millions of Americans go banktrupt from medical bills each year. This article is from 2013

www.cnbc.com...

And here's another article that shows that many insured americans cant afford healthcare...

www.newsweek.com...

It is an issue, Glad you've been lucky.

Not true my snip.

Medicaid was created SPECIFICALLY for those that could not get insurance.

The Health Insurance Association of America describes Medicaid as a "government insurance program for persons of all ages whose income and resources are insufficient to pay for health care".

Read it slowly.

Then why do tens of thousands of Americans die each year due to lack of health insurance, and why do millions of Americans go banktrupt each year due to medical bills and how come so many Americans can't afford medical care even though they have insurance?

Why is that? You're quoting policy, and that's good, but only to a certain point. Policy never equals the real life experience of Americans. Get out more and see what's really going on. I have good insurance and I was out probably $3000 out of pocket in the month of December alone. That really, really, really hurt my family, our anxiety levels and our Christmas. But you go right on pretending everything is okay.

I particularly like this golden nugget.

One in every five Americans gets their health care through Medicaid. Medicaid includes people from all walks of life—they range from middle-class individuals who have suffered a catastrophic illness, to seniors living in longterm care (70 percent of all nursing home residents rely on Medicaid), to newborns and children. Learn about who benefits from Medicaid expansion. - See more at: familiesusa.org...

familiesusa.org...

There should not be a single middle class person on medicaid.

NOT ONE.

Most likely because the US government was denying them 'access'.

See Medicaid.

What is so delusional about working towards systems that have been successfully implemented in other countries exactly?

If that's the case, why is private healthcare growing in Sweden?
