I had to look up the Concorde call sign, so I will keep my mouth shut. Have a question of my own, though. What's the most powerful turboprop ever built? What plane did it first power? No lookups.

Another question. What is a Malcolm Hood?

Used primarily on P51 Mustangs to give more visibilty in combat and on landings by moulding the canopy sides in a bowl shape.First used on late MkI Spitfires.

So a complete guess, turbo props were pushed to the limits I assume in WW2, and Germany was pretty desparate to run a engine to breaking point.

But then later years we have a mixture of them for heavy haul and perhaps red bull air racing types.

Im thinking the ones on the A400M (if they are turbo props)

I'll assume you're going to exclude marine applications..that's not a fair trick.

If that is the trick, what about the Zumwalt?

Considering it's an Aviation quiz, unless it can fly, then yeah, the Zumwalt is excluded.

The NK-12 series powering the Tu-95 family is the most powerful turboprop built. The most powerful single rotation turboprop is the TP400 on the A400M.
