If Trump is elected I think he will be like Bush Sr, 4 years of broken promises followed by 8 years of Clinton

Trump runs a successful business or several businesses - he is already more qualified and competent than all the career politicians who only know how to sell out their own people for money.
His personality and likeability are really irrelevant if you are aiming for ability to run a country.

If you run the government like you run a business, you will fail.

If you are good at running a business (on the level reaching to "CEO" and not "mom and pop", anyway), you know that you are nothing but the filter for the ideas and advice of the brilliant minds you have around you. A good executive would have a chance at being a good president.

Trump is less "businessman" and more "venture capitalist" and "developer".

Im at the point now where im thinking that the enemy of my enemy might just be my friend. If the GOP and DNC unite to undermine Trump...Trump might just be my man. At least, so long as he is in opposition to the political system as a whole.

Even IF Trump manages to get elected, the media will absolutely portray anything done as horrible, every night, on the news. And half the US population who lets the leftist media control what they think will believe it.

In fact, it's the same half of the country that thinks Obama has turned everything in the country around and we're all doing great now! Despite 91 million Americans not working, Obamacare is a joke and we still have millions of uninsured, racism tensions at all time highs, printing money until the printer breaks and keeping interest rates at zero to promote a fake economy, etc.

We'll said Sir.

A business exists purely to deliver value to it's stockholders. Fiduciary duty.

A nation exists to protect and promote the well being of its citizens.

I guess some people have been brainwashed by the corporate media...

Yes, this corporate brainwashing, believe that a business man is the best choice for a president, rather than a true leader that inspires and cares for his people.... This aggressive angry nationalism. It's all indicative of the rise of fascism from the right wing.

As much as they fear the evil left wing socialist-- there is not nearly enough concern for the rising fascist.

All I'm saying is, it wasn't social programs that made Hitler evil.

So the question isn't what if Trump does a good job. The question is what if he does what he says he will. What if he deports millions, breaking up families by force, amps up torture to an unspeakable level, considers dipping bullets in pigs blood, or hunting down and executing innocent families of terrorists, and succeeds in silencing media to the atrocities? I don't think he's necessarily evil, but ignorant as f*ck.

What if trump turns out like everyone before him. What will you do? Nothing. You will do nothing except BS everyone showing instances of good.

Then the opposition will call you out on it while pretending that their guy would have been better.

Because no one knows how to even run for president. No one knows how hard it is if not impossible for a regular guy to run.

So while you choose from this years crop of power elite asshats, know that you forgot that this was a two party sham. That you forgot how the world works and were FOOLED once again.

Fool me once shame on you, fool me, you cant get fooled again.

One of the best presidential quotes ever. Really sums up the legacy

Not exactly. I run a business. That's all I would need to know.

I know that I can't spend more money then I make. I know I'll fail if a don't treat people right. I know how to work with other businesses to get ideas done. I know when there is a problem...roof leak, over due bill, unhappy customer, buggs...whatever. I don't form a committee and study it for several years. I fix the problem right then and there. When I work with another person or business. I dont' ask him what his political denomination is and then block everything he does if it's not the same as mine. LOL We actually talk about the real problem and come up with a solution. In politics, they call that flip flopping, caving in and compromising.

So, although I'm not a fan of trump, if you run government like you do a small business, you'll be successful and the country will run great. The problem is that polticians run the country like politicians.

Lets do a thought experiment.

You're on a sinking ship that only has life rafts for 50% of the people and you have to pick someone to organize who gets to be on the lifeboats. Which candidate would you trust to ensure it's the most fair for the passengers? Which ones do you think would give up their spot on the lifeboat to give someone else a chance?

Of the big 5? I think Sanders and Rubio would give up a spot or would try to save as many people as possible. Cruz, Trump and Clinton would let us all die as they took off in their boat.

Why not just have enough lifeboats for the people that hold boarding passes (this is reasonable--tell the passengers you lack the ability to save them if an accident at sea happens) they will change their travel plans: use another carrier that thinks it is not invincible to catastrophe jeopardizing human life? Why would one be on a ship with the ability to save 50% of the passengers in the first place (unless a refugee ship). I get the metaphor so am responding in kind.

BWA HA HA HA! you're a funny guy neo.

You are talking about a guy who said 'all lives matter' at a rally but still wants to build a wall and keep out muslims although many of his ex wives are foreigners! Maybe he should change his slogan to 'all lives matter-unless you are a Mexican or Muslim.'

I'm gonna channel the spirit John Becker and say that everything I say is motivated by stupidity. Trump is for those who own antique spitoons and doomsday bunkers who think that every man with a towel on his head and a rug to prey on is a threat to the American way of life but will defend the 2nd to the death despite the fact that a Magna cum laude can perform an act of terrorism by unloading clips in a college.

Yeah, keeping illegals out is the same as thinking illegals lives don't matter.

I am really sick of this crap claiming if you are against illegals you are racist and have no respect for their lives.

No, I just want them to have the same responsibilities as any other citizen, to pay taxes, to be screened for a criminal past, and to be let in reasonable numbers over time. The real reason democrats want as many illegals as they can get is they tend to vote democratic.

As far as the Muslim migrants, some are dangerous and that is being proven throughout Europe. Even those extremely liberal countries are now wishing they didn't let them in, because quite frankly our cultures clash badly. It is not a real solution for the long term anyway, Syria needs to be cleaned up and they need to live there, everybody will be happier with that solution.

You are absolutely correct....if it were run as a business, as it should be, less all the political propaganda...we would be in much better shape....every election is full of inflated hot air and false promises and people are tired of it...and i think the votes will and are reflecting that...Go Trump!!

well, i guess we all feel differently....I can look past bad hair and a balding head....what i can not look past is millions of jobs being lost because "BIG BUSINESS" is taking their business overseas , as to not be taxed to death...i can not look past the millions of illegal aliens here in this country that do not pay taxes yet bleed the welfare system dry of resources , get every benefit available and never putting a penny in the pot....i can not look past the hundreds of thousands of life long welfare recipients that have no intention of ever working because everything is just given to them...they somehow believe that the government just grows a money tree out back to takes care of them...when actually, it's you and me, and any other hard working ethical person out there that wakes up every morning to go to a job, that pays for their mistakes and poor choices....almost as if they are being rewarded...while the poor sheeples like us bust our arses just to stay afloat... i could really go on and on....so, if it takes a business man such as Trump, or dude as you stated with bad hair and a balding head to turn things around and run this mess like a profitable business...so be it....Go trump!!
