Why? I don't own any of the kind of guns he is talking about. No one has asked to turn in rifles or pistols. We don't own AR's, how could you eat anything with a weapon like that. I would love to see those not made ever again. All guns are made to kill, but what are AR's for, just to kill humans, period.

I can hit quarters with a reme 700 at 1000m (not that difficult really).

I can hit them with my M14 at 800M

I've placed 5 out of 6 shots into a dime size spread at 250M with my M4 with peep sights.

I've been a designated marksman for two tours in Iraq and taught CQB (Close Quarters Battle) Drill to thousands of troops.

I'm a decent shot.


Bernie wants to get rid of the AR and AK platforms as these are "assault weapons" even though they only have cosmetic differences to any other semi-automatic rifle available. It's a stepping stone approach.

Bernie means pistols when he says "any weapon only made for killing". As rifles are sporting weapons no matter the platform and pistols are simply defense weapons (or offensive depending on mindset).


Be careful what rights you surrender today as they may lead to others being simply taken away from you tomorrow.

Yeah, he probably got lucky. But I felt like I was in good hands after that.

I don't equate restricting gun types allowed in public infringing on the 2nd amendment.

At the time the constitution was written they had bayonets, rifles, muskets, and the tomahawk. Weapons that will kill but you have a chance because all were equal back then. I don't think they would have seen AR's as good weapons to give to each household. Like dynamite and cannons. Only the militia or military should those, IMO.

I would counter that to say if the British Army had been equipped with AR's the founding fathers would have been grateful to have every American household in possession of one or two.

I don't think keeping harmful people from speaking is an infringement on "free speech" or "free press", that's why we have a Supreme Court.
