asshat is different from asshole hence the two different words,

With the greatest respect, I think you mean arse-hat and arsehole.

An ass is a...

a hoofed mammal of the horse family, which is typically smaller than a horse and has longer ears and a braying call.

An arse is a...

a person's buttocks or anus / a stupid, irritating, or contemptible person.

OK. English (English) lesson over. People who speak "American" may disagree with above.

Wanker is a fantastic word!
It can be used as a friendly banter term when taking the piss out of a mate, or an insult, or a descriptive term for personal activity.
It's a great word.

Not with me , it is like saying are you Chicken Mcfly

Someone calls me a Wanker , and i see red , normally their blood

p.s great thread

you could play games all day with some words

Please do not say you are off for a Fag that will really confuse things

Haha

Slang is different though, 'restroom' is a thing in itself these days...just curious, what do US folk call a place where you actually go for a rest, a toilet?

A couch, bench, a chair, a bed, a hammock, etc. Depends on the context of the rest such as sitting for a while, or napping. But that's just me. Not speaking for the entire country here, different regions have different slangs and I may be overlooking a rest-related slang somewhere.

Hubby gets plenty of rest whenever he uses our bathroom...

He completes an entire crossword puzzle, knits a sweater or two, and writes up the draft for the new constitution he plans on enacting when he becomes king of the world.

... then he wipes and flushes.

I might have missed these but there's "the pot" or "potty". Then there's riding the porcelain bus.

Ugh that's so the worst.

Even 72 virgins aren't tempting enough to accept that.

West Bank Holidays are good though.

Just don't do both at the same time. Washing clothes in the toilet is not a good idea.

Maybe people just call you an asshat because they think you're an asshat, and not an asshole.

No problemo. Just go to shake his hand all regular like and when you have a good grip tickle his palm with your index finger.

Works like a charm!
